WE'RE READY FOR ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

Our own Ms. Diva got to try out the new color gel from Pet Edge in time for St. Patrick's Day. Here she is with a bit o' the green!

The coloring included the ponytails, all four feet (boots) and the last third of the tail. I had not planned on doing the tail, but she sat down while the color was processing so I had to. I wrapped the pony tails and tail tip in foil to keep the color from getting on places I didn't want it. I was lucky to have foil around from previous coloring adventures. Next time I will get a picture of her color processing with the foils in her head. It was adorable!

After I took the first two pictures, I found the green rhinestone barrettes at the supermarket, the perfect accessory for her "look". I think I'm becoming addicted to this coloring hobby.

  1. That is soooooo cute. Here in Colo it is a $1,000 fine for dyeing an animal. Put into affect to stop chicks and ducks being dyed for Easter. A woman in Boulder just got hit for dyeing her poodle pink. She used beet juice, so no harm came to the dog. Sad.....because it is so cute!

  3. Not only is it a shame about the woman in Colo, in my opinion it is also unconstitutional. The law was enacted to prevent commercial coloring of animals for sales purposes. The private coloring of one's personal pet of a cosmetic coloring agent developed for pet use should NOT be illegal.

The next thing we know, they will be dictating grooming styles or outlawing bows, barretts and bandanas.

I hope the publicity given to this Colo case brings enough attention to create the pressure necessary to have this law modified in order to do what it was intended,

  4. Barbara, Diva looks FABULOUS!!! I'd love to try pink on Chloe for Easter, but I'm afraid to try it without an expert!!!
