PETICURE TOOL UPS AND DOWNS

Following a splashy introduction at the U.S. Pet Pro Classic trade show, the Peticure nail tool, a battery operated dremel type nail buffer with an innovative plastic shield, has proved to be a disappointment to many professional groomers who rushed to upgrade to what appeared to be a health and safety-aware design.

The disappointment is two-fold: the batteries are losing power quickly and not holding a charge – often within days of first use. Without sufficient power, contact with the nail stops the drum from turning. To make it worse, the company is difficult to communicate with and apparently reluctant to issue refunds. The customer service problems are so frustrating that several of our groomer friends have become uncharacteristically irate and vindictive. “I hate my Peticure because the battery is junk”, say Ellen Meyer, a usually tactful groomer in Colorado. The customer service issues seem to be compounded by the fact that the person who was selling the Peticure at the trade show in Dallas is the inventor and partner in the business, but since they are marketing by informercial on several TV networks, the orders are mostly handled by a contracted firm, which likely handles calls for other companies as well. After experiencing battery death on her Peticure Elite, Debi Hilley says, I have called and called and called and emailed at least 5 times. I am tired of it. I am going to be front and center at his booth in APF (Atlanta Pet Fair, a huge show) and let everyone there know how I feel if this is not resolved. “

The Peticure is designed with a patent pending plastic shield surround the dremel band and holes of different sizes through which to place the dog’s nails, which prevents hair from being grabbed by the wheel and collects the dust that the user might otherwise breathe. This is a admirable safety advance for groomers wishing to use a dremel on nails. The Peticure tool was a hot item at the U.S. Pet Pro Classic show in Dallas, and gained instant acclaim from many groomers as well as an instant ISCC Seal of Approval and personal endorsement from Pam Lauritzen of ISCC. The company wasted no time plastering her endorsement on their website homepage (“the dawn of a new era in nail care...a must have”) and making the claim that it is “endorsed and quoted by top professionals in the pet industry”. Groomers came home from the show raving about the “GREAT NEW TOOL!” and word spread quickly over the Internet groomers lists and boards. Now some of those groomers are taking their endorsements back. Dawn Omboy says, “I have already posted on Groomer to groomer warning groomers there about this company. I certainly hope that no one bought this product from my initial brag". She explains, “I purchased the elite model in Dallas at the show. I have called them several times and can't seem to get anywhere with them, They say because I purchased it at a show ( hello, they are from Dallas) that they do not know how to handle the situation and they will call me back. It hasn't happened yet. I want a refund of my 75.72 purchase price. I have even e-mailed them also. No response. I too thought it was a great concept, even though the thing leaks I would have liked to have kept it but the batteries won't hold a charge and the thing stops every time I touch a nail to it. I want a refund.” That retraction of support comes a bit too late for Becky, who writes, “My son bought the "Elite" version of peticures after I told him about all the raves it received here. He tried it out at the shop and we were both disappointed in its power but kept trying to like it. After both batteries going dead in the same day after being fully charged he called the company to see if perhaps the batteries he had were duds. They did not want to hear about the problem, just wanted to know if he wanted to return it for a refund. I was shocked. I guess being in an industry where customer service is so important I expected more. Love the little head thingy but since they won't discuss the problem with him he is returning it. So sad.

So sad pretty well sums it up.

PETICURE UPDATE - 1/30/08
Jayden Drelinger, creator of the Peticure has been scrambling to make things right for these disapointed groomers. This is a remarkable effort that deserves acknowledgement. Rarely has a company gone this far in remedy and redress. It should serve as a model for other companies who are unfortunate enough to experience this type off setback. Groomers have been contacted individually and items have been refunded, replaced, or substituted. This effort is reflected in the comments attached to the article. See below. We have allowed Mr. Drelinger to post his personal replies to comments.

As of this date, things have smoothed out considerably. The problem with the faulty batteries for the Peticure Elite has been identified, albeit after the fact, and new batteries are on the way. The promise is to replace any faulty products. Many individual groomers have been contacted personally by Mr. Drelinger. The new batteries should be available soon, the word is early February, 2008. A corded model is in the works, as is a more powerful cordless, and the company is giving away extra sanding bands for those who shop now. For complete info, please go to peticure.com.

We are rooting for this company and this innovative product. We have been using the Peticure guard on a Dremel tool and love it. There is no doubt that the Peticure represents a significant advance in toenail tools. We are hopeful that they can iron out the kinks in the production end.

1/31/08 It looks to me that Jayden Drelinger and Peticure Co. have bent over backwards to correct any and all difficulties associated with this product launch. We have to give them huge credit for being responsive and responsible.

I would say that as of April 1, 2008, the problems of bad batteries, delayed shipping, and accounts being charged before products are shipped have been addressed.

I am now going to change the title of this article from "Peticure Disappoints" to "Peticure Ups and Downs" to reflect a more neutral position on our part. We hope that groomers and pet owners will continue to post comments about their experiences with the tool and the company, however, as this seems to have been valuable for others.

4/28/08 The ups and downs of Peticure LLC have continued. I certainly never expected this blog article to have such legs! Just when I think things have straightened out, we have a post from another unhappy customer. The people who are posting comments lately are mostly the pet owning public. Most recently, one person posted about the record of this company with the Dallas, TX Better Business Bureau. Here is the full report:

  1. I have spoken with and emailed many of you who have had the battery problem with the peticure elite. All of you have been so nice despite ...thank you.

I really wanted to do something positive when I created the peticure guard that made the groomers job better(and the pet);). This means a lot to me...

Again I apologize for the battery problem and I am burning the oil to fix it as fast as possible. It is something that fell on me without warning. I am looking at about a 45 days to get new good batteries from China. The Chinese have clearly identified the problem and are fixing it.
In the meantime for those who like the benefits peticure safe guard as so many of you have addressed, I have the guard available now that adapts to Dremel rotary tools. The Dremel 10.6 V lithium ion battery tool is very good and dependable. If you enjoy the benefits of the guard, this may be something that you are interested in. For those with this problem, I will take care of you.

    For the peticure elite itself
I get you the batteries personally when they arrive(early FEB)

Again, Iam here, Jayden Drelinger 214 298 7367

  2. This Peticure guard alone does not appear as an available item on the website.
    Where/when will it be available?
    Thanks.

  3. Hi,

The peticure Guard will be available next week. Will be on the "professional page"

    Thanks, Jayden Drelinger

  5. Jeez, give the guy a few days. We are in the middle of the Holidays here. I get the sense that Peticure really scrambling to make this right. We will be following this closely, but I'd like to give them a chance to turn this around.

  6. Hello Everyone,

Hope your holidays are going well.

The "peticure safe guards" that fits the Dremel products will be available next week. I am having them ran on the injection mold machines now(here in Dallas). I have tested them on Dremel products and they fit well.
HOWEVER, they do not work for minimite or stylus( no thread to attach the guard to)
If I may suggest, the dremel 10.8v lithium ion is a great cordless model for power and longevity.

I must also supply legal language on the page that I am putting them so that I am in good standing with trademark laws that apply(getting that together as well).

peticure will have a corded model early march as well that is very nice with a lot of power. Its really thin and holds nicely. I have spoke with many of you and have found that a corded would not be an issue and the extra power would be welcome.Equally, many don't want the cord.
For the batteries, the Chinese have assured me the problem is fixed and I will receive the new good ones early Feb.
    Best wishes, Jayden Drelinger president

  7. Hello,

For those who are interested, the peticure safe guard is available at peticure.com on the products page.

A list of the compatible models is there for you to reference. The only uncompatible models are the MINIMITE and the stylus.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

  8. I purchased a petite model on and just received it in the mail yesterday 1/5/08. I put it on the charger and was anxious to use it. Eight hours later it still had NO CHARGE! I am furious that the company sold and mailed this to me knowing that they are defective!!! You should be ashamed of yourself Mr. Drelinger.

  9. Would like to hear some more feedback in the Petite model. I'm interested in purchasing one, however hesitant after reading about the battery problems with the Elite model.

  10. So...it's Jan 19, 2008. What's the bottom line right now? Does the Pet Guard work well with the dremel's..?..If I get the Elite model does it work? Is the battery problem solved or do I wait?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Folks, please give this company a break. No one prior has presented such an innovative product as this, addressing the needs of pets and pet owners alike. As with such inventions as the plane, a little time and feedback is necessary in order to work out all the bugs before it can be perfected. Be kind and be patient, I have a feeling that the company will do it's best to rectify your complaints. (Mr./Ms.) Drelinger, thank you for such a wonderful concept. Take the negativity in stride, and put the criticism to work in helping to develop your product to it's most optimal efficiency. I myself am looking forward to purchasing the corded model in March for Peper, or as soon as it's available. Thanks again, and God Bless!

  12. I guess I dont learn. So I went to their website. peticure.com and placed an order hoping to get one with the improved battery. I filled out the order form and submitted it. It said, "your credit card is declined. If you entered the number wrong try again." So I did. Then it said, "error processing your credit card try again." So I did. Same message came up. I check my bank account...go figure peticure charged me 3 times.

So now I will be dealing with the customer service to get my money back. If it goes anywhere as bad as eveyone say I can expect, I will just charge it back and let them pay a charge-back fee.

Time will tell, and I will post my results here!

  13. My impression from groomers has been that the Petite model is rather whimpy (lacks sufficient power). I would not purchase either until we hear directly from the company that there are new batteries which have been field tested for both models. This should happen in FEBRUARY. I am sure that this company would like to have everything in place for the Atlanta Pet Fair, March 7-9, 2008.

  14. Has anyone gotten the Safe Guard yet? If so can you tell me what all it comes with. The website only shows the guard and has no information on what else is needed to make this a complete system on my Dremel tool.

    Thanks

  15. I have the Peticure safe guard cover and had to purchase two Dremel's before I got one that worked with the cover. It's going to be fine, a perfect fit, and I can see that it should be a huge asset.

I'm putting this tool with my assistant, Dave-the-slave, who does the majority of feet and nail work. He is timid about not wanting to draw blood and has not been cutting his nails close enough. I'm hoping that this new option will help him get shorter nails.

From looking at the dremel with the guard on it, the only thing I see before trying it, is that the guard is going to require a adjusted technique in order to curve over the top of the nail. I like to do that presently (I have a little Laube nail grinder without a guard), as it gives a more natural look to the nail. The Peticure nail guard requires a straight on relationship of nail to the sander surface. So, we may have to learn how to get the top of the nail tip. I'll report back after working with the guard and Dremel for a few days. Stay tuned...

    ReplyDelete
  16. What I am tying to find out is, does the guard come complete with the sanding drum or do I need to get one from Dremel. My Dremel kit came with the 1/2" drum but if the guard does not come with the drum I will have to purchase the 1/4" one and the sanding sleeves. Also if you are getting tired of buying the sanding sleeves you might try the 120 grit tungsten carbide replacement sleeve from http://www.duragrit.com/ it should last pretty close to forever.

    Randy

    ReplyDelete
  17. The guard itself is just that, you need the sanding part. I purchased a Dremel tool, inserted the piece with the sanding band attached, unscrewed the sleeve on the top, and screwed the plastic Peticare guard. It has different holes for different sized nails.

The Peticure works extremely well for guiding the nail and not allowing hair to wrap around the pin of the dremel. I was impressed that I found I could still round the top edge of the nail by selecting a slightly larger hole than the actual nail. Although there was still an odor created by the sanding action of grinding the nail, there was not dust in my face.

Thanks for the tip on the sanding sleeve from Randy. The Ace Hardware man also pointed out to me that they have an alternate brand of replacement items for the Dremel that are cheaper than the Dremel stuff.

  18. I just received the Elite a week ago and I am in LOVE with it! I I have a huge beast of a dog who absolutely HATED getting his nails done. I had used clippers which almost killed me to use, as my dog has thick black nails so guaging the quick was a traumatic NIGHTMARE! I would even take him to the vet but they would refuse to clip them only "tip" them (well that meant I was taking him 2 or 3 times a month since his nails grow like weeds). Then a girlfiend of mine who owns a small dog boutique in Philly (chez bow wow) introduced me to dremeling but with all of the debris that flew all over the place and the nail skipping that was the absolute pits as well. I saw the commercial ordered the Elite and I must say THANK GOD for this! It took a few times getting him adjusted to it (since the dremel wasn't the most pleasant experience for him either). I had read on here and a few other places about the bad battery issue but emailed and was given a very prompt response that if I did receive a faulty battery that they would replace it no questions asked. You cant blame the company for getting bad batteries from overseas, it is a problem that they were unaware of and couldnt help. Its not like they planned for it to happen so I really dont understand why some people are being so hard on them. If its broke it gets fixed...done & done. I have told all of my friends and even people that I know that own small pet boutiques to invest in this product! I strongly recommend it. It eliminates all of the negatives of the dremel and sure as hell beats the nail clippers. All in all I aint complaining. Totally satisfied consumer.

  19. After many decades of raising field trial retrievers, we now only do all-breed rescue, mostly sponsoring and evaluating for several area groups. Since we usually have about 20 dogs here, including our own dozen (mostly older unadoptable dogs), nail trimming is a monstrous task -- several evenings a couple of times a month. We use a Dremel with a flexible shaft, which avoids the massive problems we had with some dogs, who had to be restrained for the nail choppers.

Our only complaint is that we go through so many sanding sleeves, whether it's the Dremel brand or the cheapie bulk stuff from eBay. We have a couple of Great Danes here permanently (one blind), and their nails are like tree stumps, only harder, which only exacerbates the problem.

Having done a lot of woodworking and carving in the past, I'm almost certain that another approach would work -- using what we call burrs instead of the sanding drums. However, there are many different kinds and degrees of toughness (how aggressively they remove material) that I could spend a lot of time and money buying and experimenting with the various types -- not to mention the aggravation to the dogs as they're used as guinea pigs. The really good quality burrs are not cheap, but once we figure out the right one to use .... the savings should be significant for those of us facing a large group of dog paws regularly.

I don't expect Dremel or Oster to have any useful advice, since no doubt they'd rather sell tons of sanding sleeves instead.

Surely I'm not the first to have this thought, and I'm hoping that someone else has tried this and can give the rest of us a leg up on this problem.

Eventually I may just have to start experimenting, of course. If it comes to that I'll try to post the info as widely as possible.

If anyone has any advice, feel free to email me at smokehill (at) comcast.net

    Thanks!

  20. Hello everyone. I purchased a Peticure Elite on December 11. I purchased it for my dog who is very sensisitve to getting her nails trimmed. Unfortunately, like many others, the battery does not hold its charge.

Yesterday I tried calling the customer support number from the Peticure website and they said that my unit was out of warranty (over thirty days) and that they could not help me. They do not seem to have any information indicating that there is a problem with the batteries. This lack of knowledge extends to the supervisors as well as the service reps.

Two questions for Mr. Drelinger. First has any move been made to arm the customer service reps with information on this issue helpful to the customers? Second, how do I get one of the new batteries when the come out?

    Thanks in advance.
    Ken Wilkinson

  21. All I can say is wow! Less than a few short hours after my post I received a call from none other than the creater of the Peticure himself, Mr. Drelinger. Thanks so much for taking the time to contact me and explain the situation.

Not only did Mr. Drelinger take care of my battery issue, but he explained to me the reasons behind the customer service people not have all the information needed to answer callers' questions (like mine).

Mr. Drelinger, I hope your enterprise overcomes these small hurdles you've experienced and that your business grows as word gets out that not only do you have a great product, but that you stand behind it.

    Thanks again,
    Ken

  24. I ordered a Peticure Elite model on Dec. 16, 2007. The item that arrived on my doorstep on Dec. 24, 2007 was the Peticure Petite. Imagine my anger when I discover that Peticure not only sent me the WRONG item, but still charged my Credit Card for the Elite model (Which is more expensive).

I was finally able to contact a customer service rep, named Maureen by phone in early January (after several unanswered emails were sent). She told me all the hoops I had to jump through to get a return processed:
Mail Item to Peticure, have copies of my CC statement with charge and all other correspondence with Peticure. Plus, fax over a copy of all these document too...including the shipping receipt to send these items back.

Well, Peticure received my items on January 17 in Addison TX as I was smart enough to pay for receipt confirmation. However, I have not heard from the company regarding the exchange. I tried calling customer service for several days and I am kept on hold indefinately.

This company is a mess. I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge, however I am also out an additional $9 on top of the $57.95 due to the return shipping.

The owner should contact me ASAP. This was a gift for my mother, who has MS and cannot cut her dogs nails. She is a vocal voice in the NJ Greyhound community...and damaging WOM due to horrid customer service will not bode well.

The Owner, who has read this blog better contact me ASAP!

  26. I just seen the infomercial on T.V. for this product, and went racing to the website to order one. I'm glad I decided to do a search for reviews on this product first. I would hate to have ordered one only to end up disappointed like so many of you are. I think I will wait for the cordless model to come out. Any chance that it's available yet?

  27. I just purchased a peticure trimmer attachment - and it is great. I just happen to have the right Dremel Tool, so I don't have any of the battery problems. It's a shame that the battery issue is giving this product poor ratings. I tried the attachment this morning - and everyone of my dogs allowed me to trim their nails - it was perfect. It only took me about 5 minutes for 4 dogs.

  28. I had ordered the Petite model on Jan 15th and am still waiting to receive it. I have emailed the company several times and so far they have been fairly good in replying to my emails. I even received an email from Jayden Drelinger stating that he apologized for the delay and he would check into why my Petite hasn't shipped yet, and if it hasn't he would upgrade me to the Elite for my time and patients. Well I am still waiting and when I emailed them again to see if it has shipped and which model they shipped I was told that all Petites have shipped as of the 15th of February....Well I am still waiting. They were sure quick to process and bill my charge card.. I sure hope that I receive mine soon.

  30. Technical problems aside
DOES THE PETICURE HURT THE DOG?

    BLEEDING ARMS

    ReplyDelete
  31. First an update: The new batteries for the Peticure Elite are available and have been sent to nearly all the groomers who registered complaints. This company is really forthcoming and responsive.

I would say that it is now safe to purchase the Peticure without fear of getting bad batteries. I would deal only, however, with the Peticure company, not from second hand sellers.

Does the Peticure hurt the dog? No, but some dogs hate any means of nail trimming. The concept of grinding dogs' nails rather than cutting them has been practiced in the grooming industry for decades. It is not a new idea. What is innovative is the Peticure guard cap that catches the nail "dust" and prohibits hair from being grabbed by the grinding mechanism. This makes nail grinding less bothersome for the person.

Nail grinding vs. nail clipping: Speaking from 37 years of experience, I can say unequivocally that some dogs do better with grinding, and some do better with clipping. A generalization is that your dog will be more comfortable with whichever method is more comfortable for YOU. Some dogs are not comfortable with any nail trimming.

Some dogs have "feet issues", and do not want anyone messin' with their feet, period! For a few, this issue can be huge. The issue is usually one of dominance and control rather than fear of being hurt, as is assumed by most pet owners. Dogs use their paws as means of dominating other dogs and allowing their paws to be handled is an act of submission. For this reason, as a professional groomer, I do not choose to do feet work as the first thing with a new dog on the table. I hold off until I have asserted my leadership through other procedures that are less troublesome for the dog to accept.

Although you may be less likely to cause bleeding of a nail by grinding than by clipping, it can still happen. You can grind into the quick just as you can cut into it. However, you are less likely to grind as deeply into a quick as you might accidentally cut. Whichever means you use, it is good to have a styptic product available.

If you cause nail bleeding and do not have styptic powder or pen available, a home remedy is to stick the bleeding nail into an antiperspirant stick. It needs to be the kind with an aluminium compound as the main ingredient.

Hope this answers some of your burning questions. BTW, I recommend the Peticure over the Quick Finder, the tool that supposedly tells you if you are too near the quick. That tool is a real waste of money, because you have to hold it against each nail for several second in order for the sensor to work.

  32. Please do not waste your time with this company. I ordered my Peticure Elite on Feb. 2, 2008. I emailed a few weeks later, to find out if/when it was shipped. I was told that it had been shipped and would arrive soon. A week later, I emailed again, saying that I would like tracking information for the package. I got a one-line reply, with no name, saying, "It shipped via USPS, there is no tracking. It should be there next week." Guess what, it isn't here yet! (This is Feb. 28, 2008) And their website clearly states that they ship via UPS, not USPS. For the $10 I spent on shipping, I would expect the company to spend a few extra cents and provide tracking information. Tracking not only gives the buyer some assurance, but also protects the seller from shipping complaints. I'm fed up with the lack of information I've been given, and I'm going to file a chargeback with my credit card if it hasn't come by tomorrow. I honestly don't believe that the product has been shipped, thus I have no problem claiming fraud.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME LIKE I HAVE!

  33. I would like to review this product, but like Anonymous above, I have not yet received it. I placed an order on Jan 4 and it is almost March now. I have tried contacting them several times and each time I am assured that "It is on it's way" or "shipping out this week". I am tired of the lies. If they can't keep up with the orders, they should stop advertising it. WASTE OF TIME!!

  34. Wow! I was going to order this. The commercial makes it sound great! Good thing this blog is here!!! It also seems to be more expensive on the web site than the TV commercial says. For that price. I wouldn't want even one issue. I don't think I'll waste my time or money. The battery problem isn't as bad as the customer service sounds.

  35. I am sincerely sorry to hear about these customer service problems with the Peticure. The problem with the bad batteries for the Peticure Elite seems to have been resolved, the professional groomers have been individually contacted by Mr. Drelinger himself, who is has been scrambling to make things right.

These last couple of comments from people who are unhappy with customer service seem to be from the pet owning public. Jayden Drelinger may be not be able to personally plug all the holes in the dam (so to speak). I had truly hoped to be able to back off this article and rewrite it as history with a less alarming title once the groomer dissatifaction was handled. I am not entirely comfortable being a red flag, but as long as there are problems with either the Peticure itself or the service, I think it's important to stay in place.

Because of the TV outreach and the amount of response that can be expected from such exposure, the customer service for the Peticure was outsourced to a company that does that. I suspect that there was no Peticure company in place before this item was launched.

The Peticure story is a painful example of a product launch gone wrong. We are still hopeful that it will be smoothed out and this great idea will become a success story.

  36. Dear Pet parents,

I understand the frustration some are experiencing in not yet receiving their peticure. I'm doing all that's possible to ship your order within the given time when purchased. Current orders are taking up to four weeks to arrive and we're working on reducing that time down to two weeks. We've already shipped shipped thousands of peticure's and are continuing to fill the demand within the time frame stated on the website. I've been striving to have 100% customer satisfaction and am wanting to personally help the few anonymous bloggers who have not yet received their product. Please contact me at iiiiiiiii with you order number so I can address your frustrations. I want to assure you that we are not a fraud and that this is not a product launch gone wrong but a tool that has been needed by pet lovers everywhere.

  37. I believe that the Peticure tool is a true blessing to all pet parents and groomers alike. I placed my order and received my tool in about 4-5 weeks. Yes, it took a little time to get it but OH MY GOD! It is truly a safer way to trim your pet's nails. I have a Beagle(Journey)who is my baby. I used regular clippers on her and hurt her badly causing her to bleed. This broke my heart so I neglected her nails for a long time because I didn't want to hurt her again. I started taking her to the groomers every month…boy what a hassle. It also became pretty expensive after a while. I did try to use a regular dremmel every once in a while but I wasn't very comfortable with it because it would bump and skip...very unstable! This new guard thingy is amazing...it secures the nail in the right sized hole to create more stability while filing. After just two uses I feel completely confident doing my baby's nails. This is an awesome tool that's improving on the safety of trimming your pet's nails...let's give this new company a chance. From what I've read they are a new company having some growing pains...for peat’s sake...give them a chance. It seems to me like Mr. Drelinger is doing his best to rectify the problems. I personally believe in this new product completely because I have it in my hands, used it, and experienced it's awesomeness for myself. Heather McCan

  38. I have taken a leap of faith after seeing the commercial on tv and reading all the comments on different blogs; I have purchased the Peticure Elite. I want to believe this product lives up to the commercial, this will be such a godsend for my labs. The owner has shown he's a man of integrity, I hope his product will be a great experience.

  39. I was wondering if this product will be available in stores at a later date (or soon?) There are many stores that sell 'as seen on TV' products, and that would be so convenient! Walgreens would be a great place to find this (from one Texan to another...) given that they tend to stock many of the more innovative as seen on TV products.

  40. I ordered a petite Peticure on 01/09/2008. Money was withdrawn from my account on 01/11/2008. It is now 03/03/2008 and I still have not received my product. I tried calling and the phone number does not work. This is ridiculous and some kind of scam.

  41. What about a model with a cord? I read where that was an option as it supplies more power.. but I did not see it on the web page.

Glad I waited to buy this and read this page. When I first saw it on TV I damn near ordered it that day. I have a large dog that hates nail trims and it proves to be traumatic for her. I really wanted this, but now I will wait to see how this pans out.

  42. I finally recieved my Peticure...I love it! It took almost 5 weeks to get here but it was worth the wait.

  43. Has the battery problem been resolved? I'd like to be able to order one, but I won't until I know it will come with a good battery.

Also, what type battery is this using? Can a regular store bought battery size fit in this?

  45. I have been reading some comments on here and they are really unbelievable. I bought the peticure in November 2007 and have had no problems with it. I Love it and my dogs do better with it than going to the groomers or the vet. In fact I am shocked that people these days are so quick to turn on someone who is trying to help animals and not harm them. How about giving the guy a break he is obviously trying to do the right thing and make things right. You all are so quick to throw his product back in his face how about giving the guy a break.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I am certainly glad I checked out some reviews before ordering this product. I was almost sold by the enticing infomercials, as it sounds like many of you here, have been. I have learned (the hard way) though, that it is best to see what others say about any mail order item before ordering it. This is true for almost anything that you intend to purchase with limited knowledge. It can save a lot of time, money and frustration in the long run.

As I see it, from the posts I have read here, this may have been a good idea (sure sounds great) in the beginning, but, it has definitely had it's problems to say the least! After all, if you stop to think about it, there are only a handful of posts on this blog and according to Jayden Drelinger, the President of Peticure, the company has shipped out thousands of the Peticure products. He also admits (in one of his later responses) that the company is running a good month behind on orders. This could equate to even many more thousands of units on order and not delivered yet. Now, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out a good scam in the making. ie.... Peticure sells thousands of these products at an average amount (you can do the math, but, with shipping, etc. I am seeing around $60 - $80 or more per sale, uhhh... excuse me, per charge to credit cards! The sale part is up in the air for many yet, it seems). On top of this, almost all of the items we have read about here are defective when the customers receive them! Now and then, it appears, President Jayden Drelinger comes on this blog (and maybe others out there, too... I've looked far enough for myself, for the time being) to quell the masses by calling or communicating with a select few of his "patrons" who mainly appear to be professionals in the grooming business and then he just disappears. This seems to get the hope up for everyone, for a short while, anyway. (at least until the next problem with this company is reported) In all this time, President Jayden Drelinger and his Peticure company are advertising, day and night, taking more orders and debiting more credit cards, bank accounts and the like. (I have been in business for over 40 years and my main concern was always to take care of my customers. I only ran a small mom and pops type of business, but, that is how we survived) I would think with the problems that Peticure has had, their main goal would be to get quality merchandise out to the buyers. I would further think these item would be field tested to make absolute sure they were usable items when the customers received them. In other words, not using the customers and their vested money as guinea pigs in the process of working out the bugs of the company (I notice several posters have been very animated in how good this company is at getting paid! It seems to be they have little, if any, knowledge, or concern about taking care of business after the "sale")

The concept of this tool is great and I hope my cautious ranting turns out to be just that, but, as it stands now, I would not order this item for a long time... after seeing many, many good reports about it and the company and President Jayden Drelinger. A good rule of thumb IMO is "Buyer Beware"

Oh, btw, for the person(s) who wanted to see them on eBay..?? You better hope you don't see them there in the short term or I would say the party is over! eBay is where most unsuccessful "As Seen On TV" items end up as their final resting place :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. 3-10-08 It seems that the owner checks in here from time to time, so I thought I'd leave a note.

Firstly, a business rule: You cannot remove funds (accept payment) until the item/s are ready to be shipped - as in "ready to go". You can authorize the payment (run the credit card check, etc.), but once you accept payment, you must ship the item. So, for the person who had their funds withdrawn two months ago, should have received their order by now.

Secondly, as a good businessperson, you must provide customer service. This includes everything from making sure that calls get through, orders are processed and the buyer is kept up to date on the progress and you need to provide tracking information. This is an absolute must. There is no reason not to.

Lastly, I placed an order for the attachment (not the power tool itself) and am watching this transaction very carefully. You've got my money, now send the order.

Grooming people, and pet owners in general, are not the kind of folks that you want to screw around with. Word-of-mouth in these groups is so widespread and strong that you will suffer in your business dealings if you are not forthright and sincere.

We're already a bit nutty - being consumed with our animals every move and mood. Don't add to our stress. Treat us right and we will reward your company with business.

    Cheers.

  49. Boy, I was just about to order the Peticure Elite and am I glad I found this site!! Have the issues been resolved? How about the ordering/shipping, is it any better? I guess I'll keep checking here and see what happens. My email address is sjlchgo@hotmail.com. I'd like to know when it's safe to "enter the water". I loathe poor customer service. Also, the the owner, you might want to check out "Teletech.com" They have call center solutions that you might benefit from.

  52. 3/18/08 Sorry about no date on the comments. The new batteries for the Peticure Elite have been in place for close to a month and we've heard no new complaints. About that. I think it is reasonably safe to order and get a workable unit. The current problems seem to have mostly to do with lag in shipping, and the usual complaints related to outsourced customer service.

First, let me say that I am very glad the battery issue seems to have been resolved. Hopefully that means that if I ever do get the product I ordered, and have already paid for, it will work. Next, can anyone tell me how to contact the customer service? I can find no phone number or email address on the web site. I placed my order on Feb. 20, 2008 and money was removed from my account Feb. 22, 2008 but I have not received the product. So if anyone can tell me a phone number or an email address I would be really greatful. It seems to me that if the company was having difficulty getting the product shipped they would send mass emails to all the people who ordered from them explaing that there was a problem and give a new estimated date of delivery. If they had done that then I wouldn't be worried that I had been scammed out of $80+. But right now thats how I feel. So, Mr. Drelinger you say your company is not a fraud, then PLEASE send an official email to us hard working customers and let us know whats going on. Liz, cwolvs@netzero.net

  54. I ordered mine (attatchment only) on 3/3/08. Looks like I have a long waiting period ahead. Already charged to my AMEX and I only hope they ship soon or it will be a charge back item and LOTS of bad press from Atlanta. I will post when received to let you know how long it takes.

  55. I ordered the Peticure elite in December 2007. In middle January I canceled my order since I was told that they did not know when they would get any in. Since then I have called the customer service line over a dozen times, they tell me that since I ordered it on line that Mr. Drelinger would have to send me a refund check because they have nothing to do with the on line ordering. After leaving several messages on the customer service site, I received a generic email from him thanking me for my order and saying that he owed everyone a gratitude of thanks by making his dream come true. What dream defrauding me out of 37.97? I have still not received my refund or a phone call that I requested from Mr. Drelinger. I am this day filing a fraud complaint with the Dallas police and the IC3 Federal Internet Fraud Board.
I do not like it when someone sells me something he does not have to deliver but keeps my money.

Dallas police??? People, have you never heard of shipping (especially by ground in the US) can take 6-10 weeks. All I know about this product is what I've seen in infomercials and on the website and this looks like a new product that is getting off the ground and had many kinks along the way. Most of which, by the sound of it have been or are BEING cleared up. As far as ordering online...this is a fact of life in this day and age that website ordering and the actual retail manufacturers are not always one in the same. I say, give the company a break. The less time that they are having to deal with ongoing calls and inquiries by the police department?!?! (by the way, the FTC or BBB might have been the best place to claim fraud) that they have to deal with the better and faster that they can get things fixed and get the wheels turning on refunding your money.

I personally just bought one on their site. I expect it within a month or two. If it is not here, I will probably call and verify that my invoice number shows shipment. If not, I'll ask when, but there's no need to rush them. Sounds like some people need to purchase more in stores where they can talk to the seller and less online. That way if there is an issue it can be dealt with quickly and painlessly. Otherwise, you usually are talking to someone who just spoke to 30 others with the same issue and cannot authorize a refund as quickly as one would like.

    Amazing!

  57. I ordered the Peticure and like everyone else I expected to receive it within 8 to 10 days.
After reading the posts on here I was beginning to think I had been a victim of a bad advertising swindle.
I also read Mr. Drelinger posts and decided I would be a little patient and wait and see.

I recieved my Peticure today after about 3 1/2 weeks and I am glad I waited.
I expected to get a very cheap made device but was amazed at how well made and sturdy this device is.
You have to be patient this is a new item and I suspect a lot of people has ordered it.

Mr Drelinger said in one of his posts that they are trying to get the orders out as quickly as possible but some are taking a little more time to get shipped.

I believe the man is being honest.
If you really want one be patient and I have no doubt you will recieve it soon.

  58. I ordered the Peticure on 3/12/08 and I received it yesterday in the mail. So I got my Peticure (I ordered the Elite) in a little over a week. There doesn't seem to be much of a delay.

I also used it on both my dogs last night, and it worked well. Even my one who normally needs an army to hold him down was ok with just me holding him down while I did his nails.

  59. 3/22 I finally received my Peticure almost two months after being billed and am very disappointed by it's performance. AFter the first use it split my pet's nails which is exactly what I was hoping to avoid when buying it. I thought the Peticure is supposed to be painless for my pet but with the nail splitting problem my pet did not enjoy the experience at all.

  60. It took 4 weeks but finally received my peticure and I must admit that I much prefer it to a nail clipper. The top attachment took a second to figure out but after I did it went pretty easy. I would say that it is worth getting if you dont mind the wait...

  61. hmm after reading this i think i will wait a while to order anything from this company until they get the bugs out of it and the customer service better on this product. I appreciate everyone who has posted on this product, which sounds wonderful and I was all for it. And granted the battery issue seems resolved, but between the shipping time which I know is like 4-6 WEEKS and then the factors of not able to get hold of customer services for refunds and other things. I don't think I will be ordering this until it has been on the market a while. thank you everyone for this blog and writing your opinions. I think it just saved me some "$$$

  62. Do not buy from this company! After reading the blogs and Jayden Drelinger's apparently sincere comment, I ordered the shield on Feb 14, 2008 and my credit card was charged on that date. I still don't have the product. On Mar 14 he replied to an email that it would ship that week. Still not here as of Mar 22.

  63. I last posted on 3-10-08. Today is 3-23-08 - Happy Easter!

From many of the posts, I get the impression that many folks are peeved for the same two main reasons that I am.

    1. Funds are withdrawn within 24 hours or so of ordering, even though the product has no expected ship date. It is wrong to accept payment without getting the order out in a timely fashion. Many other businesses send an order confirmation email stating that your account will be charged when the order is packed for shipping and headed out the door.

    2. Poor customer support/communication. I would be perfectly happy with an email that confirmed my order, stated that funds will be withdrawn when the item is ready to ship and to have an estimated ship date. After that, there darn well better be some tracking information sent in an email. Even the USPS has a pathetic delivery confirmation so that you can at least see that the item has been readied for the mail.

So, they're quick to take our money slow to let us know where we stand.

That's what makes me a bit prickly.

  64. OK, just saw the commercial for this product and did what I do for any product I plan to purchase-research. So here I am, March 24, 2008 with two questions.

    1) Are we good to go on this product?

In other words, ave all the bugs been worked out and has customer service been straightened out?

See, I have a 90lb dog with massive paws/claws. He is a lovable, sweet dog, but has always hated havin his nails cut. I even tried using a battery powered nail shaver my wife used to use for her nails, gotten from a friend who does human nails professionaly, no luck.

We actually have to sedate him now to do his nails; it's the only way.

Funds are tight, I hate drugging him, can I buy this prodcut for the $29.99 advetised on the site and have it work for what I need?

    Thanks...

  66. Hello pet parents,

We have made improvements to our process.

    1. Cards will now only be charged when the orders are shipped. It took two months to implement a new web platform and shopping cart that will hold the orders instead of automatically charging( we have a file batching system now). I understand the frustration with that issue and have worked hard and fast to fix it! Gladly, That is now fixed.

    2. Peticure now has LOTS of stock so that the orders may be fulfilled in a timely manner. All the orders are going out now..

    3. I have dedicated trained customer service reps that will give a personal touch. 888-mypeticure

Again I apologize for the wait and the kinks. It is a blessing to have peticure take off the way it has and we are committed to improving..We are moving as fast as we can to get the orders fulfilled! I hope you enjoy the peticure experience

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

  67. 3/24/08 I am really glad I found this list of comments. I have been reading all sorts of info on the product, and was extremely interested in buying it, but will probably hold off a bit to order. It sounds like from more recent posts that perhaps the shipping issue is getting better, but not quite there yet. I don't think that the administrative issues should take away from the product IF it is a decent product - though I can sympathize with the people that have seen their credit cards statements with the charge, and still have no product. I am impressed that the company owner is posting/communicating with this list. I think it shows that he is trying to address the problems. In the mean time, I guess I will keep checking this comment board to see if there are improvements. Thanks to all how have taken the time to post - both positive and negative.

  68. When you purchase something from a company who has not been well established yet these are the risks you run. If you don't like it then wait for the product to come out to a store like Wal-Mart or Walgreens. If this product appears in these stores then you know it is backed by a reliable company and if you need to return it you can. Wal-Mart is in the testing stages with this product right now. I can't wait to try it out but I won't touch this or any T.V. advertised product without a well established company backing it.

  69. So a question for those that have used this......I have two large Saint Bernards........does this thing have holes big enough for large nails.

    ReplyDelete
  70. The Peticure tool has openings for several sized nails, including very large.

To answer the person with the dog that has to be sedated to have nails done, personally I think you would be throwing your money away. If you have already tried grinding the nails with a rotary tool and the dog would have none of it, you are probably going to have problems with using the Peticure as well.

I have been grooming dogs and doing nails for 37 years, and my experience tells me that there will always be some dogs who have such huge issues about their feet that no technology is going to solve the problem.

The Peticure tool requires you to hold the dog's foot steady, put the nail through the hole in the guard, and grind it down with several touches to the nail. That's 16 times, not counting declaws, which I find really hard to get at with the tool.

My experience is that there are some dogs that do better with a rotary tool, and others that do better with clipping. Some don't do well with anything.

I'm a grad student - that can not afford to throw money (nor my time) away chasing down a customer service rep should something go wrong.

I have a 120lbs Bernese Mtn dog that HATES having his nails done and the Peticure tool seems like the answer to our prayers...

Have the shipping, battery, and customer service issues been resolved yet?

  76. To Anonymous who keeps saying to buy American:

I would love to buy a lot of products made in America, but where do you find them all? Production has declined so much in this country it's hard to find ANYTHING that says "Made in America". If you know where I can get a product like this nail groomer that is made in America, please post the info on this site so I can buy one. Thank you - and kindly shut up!

    ReplyDelete
  77. 3/30/08 I too would LOVE to buy American & I'm sick to death of crap made in China, but America makes it impossible to BUY AMERICAN because it either costs too much money or the company goes out of business as soon as there's a problem to deal with. HOWEVER, as much as I would like to try the Peticure, I also will wait until it's available thru a reputable company that will stand behind the product & replace it (or refund money) immediately if there's a defect. Great product & idea for dog-owners, but maybe the product should have been TESTED a while before offered for sale? What a concept. I think it's great that the developer of the Peticure is personally contacting dissatisfied customers, BUT sound like he's also putting their money in his pocket 3 weeks before the product is even shipped (or packed for shipping). This is a definite NO-NO - very BAD business practice and he should be turned in to the BBB, AND the credit card companies.

  78. From John and Karen
Glad I found this site, but do wish it included date stamps, however that is easy enough for me to fix. I have read the progress of the company’s struggles with batteries (which seems a non-issue at this point) and its shipping and customer service issues. I just went online and purchased my peticure while I don’t like waiting, either for a response from customer service or for products I order, I have been through these types of problems with other company’s and I weigh the frustrations verse the benefits and in this case my puppy a 10 year 80 pound golden that was adopted from a rescue foundation has always been skittish about nail clipping. This has made trimming his nails a hour long event that starts with trying to coax his out from under that chicken table or behind the sofa and ends with trying to control the bleeding when I inevitably hit the quick so if I have to wait a few extras weeks so be it. I will keep you and my fellow bloggers posted as to the timeline of the delivery and payment processing.

  79. Duh, You-Learn-Something-Every-Day-Dept., I just discovered I could correct the lack of date stamp in my Blogger settings. Sorry. Now we know. It was all my fault.

As of this date, I think we can give a big "all clear" go-ahead to Peticure. I would still like to hear of any problems, and I'd like to know if the tool solves your nail cutting problems with dogs that hate having their feet worked on.

  80. After reading ALL these comments I have decided that I AM going to buy a peticure for my dogs. I am a very patient person so if I have to wait a month or so to get my product WHO CARES!!! And to you Mr.Delinger, I know what your going through, for I am a business owner myself and its not easy when you get slammed with tonsss of orders all at once. Hang in there!!! It will get better!!!!

  81. On February 2, 2008 I ordered the "petite". I really wanted the elite but the website stated that this item was out of stock at the time and it would take 4-6 weeks. I also ordered the safety shield for my dremel. They "promptly" charged my account and I started waiting. I have called this company numerous times to find out what the problem was. First...we ran out but there are 30,000 coming next week. Second time...we ran out of guards but they should be in soon. Third time...your order comes with extra bands and we ran out but they should be in soon. Today, April 1 and 60 days later...we ran out of them but we have a big shipment coming in and yours will ship out on the 11th. Hmmmmm

I am a very patient person but this has really stretched me to my limit. I feel like I have been continuously lied to. I do have to say that on every phone call they were very polite while they were talking in circles. I have heard many apologies and many promises but I STILL DON'T HAVE MY ORDER. I have noticed that there are many people who have ordered after mine and have already received theirs. What's the deal Mr. Drelinger?

  82. Would love to buy several corded models. I rescue and foster dogs for our local shelter. We also have adoptions every Saturday at a local store and it would be great to have several of these to do the dogs nails before they go to their new homes(would be good advertising for Peticure as well). I would like to know when the corded models will be available. I can be contacted at vlmurphy@graceba.net

  83. What is the latest on the Peticure Safe Guard for owners of the Dremel? Do they fit the dremel properly? I have a model that IS listed. This is a great blog.....thank you.

  84. I really like the Peticure attachment. I can easily recommend that people buy the attachment and either use it with your Dremel tool, or buy a Dremel tool to use it with. I am glad that I just got the attachment. I spent less money getting a new, cordless Dremel with all if its "bits" and I can use it for other things, too.

I just did the second round of grinding on the doggie's nails. He is even more relaxed and it seems like the tool might tickle more than anything. There has been no whining or anything to deal with. I suck at clipping nails, so this is great. He didn't even wiggle around much. Now he's sound asleep as if nothing happened.

I hope that everyone gets their orders and has success. Cheers.

  85. On March 1 I ordered a safeguard from Peticure on line. The online receipt did not contain an invoice number but it did have a customer ID number and a transaction number. I emailed Peticure about this along with another question. The second question was answered the first was not. Two weeks later I emailed Peticure again - this time asking about delivery since my credit card had been billed as of the order date. All information that I had received in the conformation was also forwarded at that time. The reply stated that there was a two to four week delay and I should be patient. On March 30th my patience ran out and another email was sent demanding a delivery date. Receiving no reply by April 1I called the company and spent the next half hour waiting while a customer service person attempted to find my order. The result was I wasn't anywhere in the system even though the credit card bill was clearly marked PETICURE. The best I got was that I call the credit card company and get a chargeback. Does the right hand of this company have any idea what the left hand is doing??? After reading so many negative comments, it is amazing that the company is still in existance. Today is April 2 and still no answer from the emails I sent. It seems like a great idea has been managed terribly.

  86. I just got my attachment and it came quick. I just have one problem. I have looked at all the Dremels that were listed and not one of them have male threaded ends that you can screw the attachment on. The attachment has a female threaded end. What can I do and what kind of Dremel do I buy that has male threaded end.

  88. Is it possible to speak with a human being regarding our order? The computer "helper" we ordered from "mis" interpreted my order (elite vs petite) any thoughts?

  89. I was considering buying the Peticure but think I will wait for awhile to see if everything gets smoothed out. I am so grateful I found this blogspot! Getting to hear from folks who do this for a living really helps. Thanks to everyone for the information.

  90. Wow after reading all the posts I was reluctant order this because of all the customer service issues so when I saw the 888-peticure number I called it to see if they had their act together. Well I got a recording to nowhere and then it hung up! I feel for this guy since he appears to want to do the right thing, but this tells me he has a way to go before I buy one.

  91. Wow, that's just disappointing to read. I saw the commercial a few minutes ago and did a Google search on Pedicure.

Based on the comments on the poor quality and horrifyingly bad customer service, I won't be buying anything from this company.

And for those of you in Texas, you can register any complaint with the Attorney General's Consumer Protection department. Keep any e-mails you send/ receive to the company as supporting documentation.

  93. I would like to buy the safe guard and purchase an electric dremel tool for it. I have 9 dogs and although I would prefer cordless, I am afraid the cordless batteries won't last long enough between chargings. My question is - Do I need to buy the filing pads when I buy the guard or can you buy them with the dremel tool? This blog has been very informative...Thanks!

  94. I've used dremels for years and sometimes wind the hair in the drum. I've had my peticure for about a month with no issues. peticure makes it safer and easier for me to dremel the nails.
I hope the problems for this company get straightened out...Its a very nice product.

  95. This has been a very informative and helpful blog about a product I am interested in purchasing. I was all set to place an order, but am now hesitant. I've had more than my share of customer service fiasco's, (as I'm sure most of you have as well) and do not want to get wrapped up in another one. Thanks for saving me time and money. I really hope they get their act together though, as I would love to try this product on my dogs.

  96. Can anyone verify that credit cards are not being charged until the order ships, i.e. has anyone placed an order that has not resulted in an immediate (within 24 hours) charge? I would like to believe the owner's March 24 comment that such is now in place but with all the experiences to date, I will not order until I know this has in fact been corrected.

    THANKS

  97. I read this blog and was nervous because I aready ordered...
My three dogs have always hated the nail clipper/ two of them run when they see it come out. I ordered the peticure elite in late feb after seeing the commercial on BBC. Ive had it for a couple days. My dogs were nervous at first but I was persistent and now they just sit there quiet and let me.
The product took a couple minutes to figure out but overall pretty easy. I much prefer this over a nail clipper will keep using peticure..
I give peticure a THUMBS UP!
Thanks for all the info here, Lucy

  99. re: Dremel tools not having the threaded end. They have a protective cap on the end that unscrews to expose the threads. this is the same way you attach a stylus to a standard dremel.

you have to usually remove the collet and the attachment to remove the cap.

  100. What is the current lead time situation? The site says the Peticure Elite is "In Stock", but the description says allow 4 weeks for shipping.

When I first visited the site I found a set that included a case and a place for everything. are the kits no longer offered? out of stock? coming back?

  101. I ordered the Elite, and 10 days later I got what I ordered. It works great too!

  102. When I first visited Peticure's site, I found a kit that included a case, etc.

It has since been removed. According to customer service, they had problems with the cases breaking in transit so they are being redesigned. I like having a place to store everything so I have asked them to let me know when the cases become available and offer them for sale separately for the customers who have already ordered the product.

I just ordered my Elite w/ 2-year warranty today, 4/10, so lets see how soon I get it.

  103. I am so frustrated with this company.

My credit card was charged 2 days after we placed our order on March 10, 2008.

As of today, the 866 number has told us that they have no record of our order, send them a copy of our bank statement and they will see what they can do....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Mr. Drelinger, our customer ID number is 23943....WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS....!

Tomorrow we will be contacting our credit card company and the Texas Attorney General's office....ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THAT THERE IS SUCH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE....

  104. Although a few of you are willing to be "patient," there is a legal limit on patience. For example, if what the company is doing is negligent, then you may only have two years to legally enforce it. In addition, there are laws (depending on what juridiction) to protect consumers and impose obligations on internet sellers. it is just something to consider.

  105. I ordered the Elite with a guard on February 13. My credit card was charged within 24 hours. As of today's date (April 10, 2008), I still have not received this order. I e-mailed the company on March 20 requesting an update on order status as I had already paid for this product but had not received it. The reply was that they were waiting on items from the manufacturer before they shipped the orders out but that I should have it within 2 weeks. Two weeks later I still did no thave the product. On April 6, 2008 I e-mailed and demanded that the order be canceled and my money refunded...no reply/reponse from company. On April 7, 2008 I e-mailed and requested a confirmation of the order cancellation and refund...no reply/reponse from company. On April 9, 2008 I e-mailed and gave a deadline of April 11, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. EST for cancellation and refund and stated that if the deadline was not met that I would be contacting the Federal Trade Commission and the Better Business Bureau. To bad I didn't see this blog before I ordered; however, the blog has reminded me that I also need to contact the Texas Attorney General's office as well as my own state's Attorney General.

  106. Wow -- I was all ready to order a Peticure, but I'm going to wait and see. What a mess -- seems like the guy running this company needs some assistance in how to properly run an online business and provide good customer service.

  107. I received my peticure and LOVE IT! I think this is a great step in pet care. Ive used Dremels for years and this makes it so much safer!!!Yes I did wait five weeks to get it, but it is worth it.

To those who are complaining I think you should just be a little more patient. When you order products off TV (especially popular ones) you should expect 4 to six weeks to get it. Contacting the attorney general is absurd! Just be patient, Im sure your product will come.

  108. I saw this product on a commercial on TV and thought it was the "thing"! I'm sure glad I decided to do a little research before ordering it. I won't deal with them now. Maybe at a later time, a year or so I'll check back and see how it's doing but I'm not about to mess with a screwed up deal like this again. I have 16 dogs from 10 pounds to 110 and only one pit bull doesn't mind having his nails clipped out of the whole bunch. I thought this would be a great tool for them. I tried to order a Flowbee and it was the same kind of mess. No more for me!

  109. I have been researching the product because I thought it would be perfect for me and my 2 Ridgebacks. So I emailed the company yesterday and asked if the battery problem has been fixed. 111. Cordless equipment always presents the matter of battery care. I am unsure whether this tool has NiCAD or NiMH batteries. NiCAD batteries have more of a problem with "memory effect", and if not run all the way down between charges, will gradually hold less and less of a charge. NiMH batteries have less of a problem with this, but still need to be completely discharged at least monthly.

It is not a good idea to store cordless equipment in the charger, as it will overcharge and harm the battery.

It looks to me that Peticure is gradually ironing out their problems. It is an good product with great intentions and a foundation of integrity. There have been bumps in the road, but this company is not out to rip off anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I am incredibly disappointed of the customer service I have received. It has now been over 7 weeks and I still do not have my peticure. I have made several attempts to contact the company and have all been unsuccessful.

  115. Does anyone have any experience using any of the peticure products on cats? I'd love to trim my girls' talons, but I'm afraid the noise will freak them out.

Also, has anyone had any experience with returning a product because their pet did not like it (i.e., not because of any defect in the product/battery)?

    ReplyDelete
  116. If you are having a serious problem with the company, the owner posted his phone number right here at the top of this discussion. do a search for 214 and you should find it.

If you want a corded version, you are probably just as well or better off just getting the attachment and a dremel tool. any device they have made will have to go through it's development paces and the dremel is a proven brand.

I wrote earlier that the cap on the dremel is how you attach the stylus, it is not actually the "stylus" I was referring to, but the "flex shaft"

if you look at www.dremel.com under products/attachments/flex shaft, the owners manual is there with specific instructions.

    http://www.dremel.com/en-us/attachments-and-accessories/attachment-accessory-detail.htm?H=188575&G=69659&I=66226

6 days and still waiting for my card to be charged (and my product to ship) my dog's nails are long and I can't wait to use this (and a friend broke my dremel)

  117. Thanks for having a great forum for this. No one has commented about using the Peticure on cats. Has anyone tried it? I have cats who really, really don't like clippers and I'm the one bleeding by the time I give up. DOES THIS WORK FOR CATS?

It sounds like the company has had some major setbacks up to now (some due to outside sources), but it also sounds like they're trying to be honorable and fix the problems. With thousands, perhaps over a million, ordered by now, I can believe some of them may have fallen thru the cracks. That being said, I've also been in the position of never getting something I ordered.

  118. I waited over five weeks to get my product...However, I used it on my French Bulldog and it works pretty good. Lucky it showed up when it did because I was getting pretty ticked.I think this company just has a lot of orders and is trying to get all them out. For the product itself,I do like it. I would definately take it over the nail clipper. I feel more confident with it, FRANK

    ReplyDelete
  119. I tried the Peticure on my cat and it didn't work well. My cat's nails still cracked like they do when I use a clipper and he didn't respond any better to Peticure then to nail clipping. Peticure freaked my cat out just as much as nail clipping does. I guess the few positive comments on this blog must be referring to using it on dogs.

    ReplyDelete
  120. As a veteran cat groomer of over 30 years, and one who grooms several cats per week, I can honestly say that I'm not sure the Peticure would be a good choice on feline nails. The nails themselves are too fragile.

I have actually never thought to grind rather than cut feline nails.
I think cats would be put off by the whirring sound and the large Peticure guard head.

It is much easier to judge the location of the nail "quick" on feline nails, making accidents very rare. My experience is that the feline nail requires a very sharp clipper - some of the cheaper alternatives crush the nails rather than giving a clean fast cut. I like the Miller's Forge "scissor" style clipper with the red handle.

  122. I called the toll free number and the rep told me they had caught up with back orders and were shipping right away. I saw the comment on 4/10 2am on the blog about ordering and getting it in 10 days and was excited.

I ordered online 4/10/08 around noon. I have a separate bill to and ship to address. (different zip codes).

When I ordered, I received an email confirmation with an order number AB-17... order date 4/10/08. I have not received any other communication.

4/17 I called the customer service line and after a few attempts the gentleman found my order using my billing zip code and my last name. he told me my order number was really 4588xxx and it might ship as early as the last week of April and almost certainly by the 1st week in May.

The upshot is, expect to wait a month before you get it, and a couple of days after you order, call 866-626-7961 and find out what your real order number and estimate are. I am confident it will be worth the wait.

If anyone else ordered the Elite around the same time and gets it (or charged) please post up with order date, charge date, ship date, receive date.

    Thanks.

  124. Here goes...many many comments ago I wrote that I had ordered and "paid" for my peticure and guard on Feb.2 had been getting the royal runaround. I was promised by Lakaron at customer service that it was going to ship out April 11. That didn't happen and when I called I was told it had been BACKORDERED!!! I was livid. The more I thought about it the more angry I became so last weekend I started calling Jayden himself. I was shocked when he answered the phone. I had been getting busy signals for 2 months. I told him what my problem was and I was absolutely blown away when he insisted that I would have it on my doorstep the next day because "every single order that has been charged has been shipped" I asked him how he could say that when I had just talked to customer service that day and it had been backordered again. I told him that I felt like I was going to have to go to the attorney general to get taken care of. He got upset and told me to just give him my info and he would refund my money immediatly. I gave him the info and we hung up.

The next day, I got a phone call from Jayden. He said that he had checked my account and understood why I was so upset. He apologized, gave me a little speach about his dream, and told my that he had refunded my money. He insisted that my order had already shipped but told me he wanted me to keep the order when it arrives. I told him that I was really disappointed because I WANTED a peticure. I believed it was a good product and a wonderful idea but he has got to do something about his customer service. He again tells me that he is certain I will get my order "tomorrow" but he had refunded my money. I told him then that if what he said was true I would write this blog and tell everyone that he did make it right (or at least get me back to square one).

Monday afternoon I checked my bank account and guess what..... I had a refund from peticure!!! This is now Thursday and I STILL haven't received the peticure. I am quite certain I never will, but I did get my money back. I'm guessing that my order somehow fell through the cracks, several times. I have a problem with them not being honest with me. I can sympathize alot more for a problem or mistake if I'm told the truth. Oh well.

I probably will reorder, but only the guard. I'll use the trusty dremel I already have. Surely my order won't get lost...again...!

  125. Which dremels work with the guard? I prefer a corded model.

I understand technology is great and it makes things faster but I still like a little human in there when someone comes up with a product and especially custmoner service with more ups then downs I will consider it but not at this time I would like to thank those of you out there who have put your money out there and been guinea pigs for this company for the rest of us to learn

  127. It is so great to find this site. As a pet owner (rather than professional groomer), I have been considering this item, but I don't know which model I should get. I have a sweetheart mini goldendoodle. She weighs 21 lbs. (just weighed her today). She is 15 months old, so I assume she is finished growing. She was 15 lbs when we got her at 6 months. The petite model says that it is for small dogs under 15 lbs. Would you agree with that and get the more expensive model or is the petite model sufficient. I would like to save $20. not if I would have a product that didn't work well. Thank you for your input in advance.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I would urge you to get the Elite model. Groomers say that the Petite does not have enough power, and that the grinding wheel slows down and/or stops at the slightest pressure. Go for the Elite!

I'd love to see your "mini" Doodle! I have one Goldendoodle that I groom, named "Cowboy", who is nearly as tall as a Irish Wolfhound. The dog is HUGE!

  129. Regarding refunds, and customer service issues etc....

If you're having trouble getting action from Peticure on a refund, or still waiting too long for shipment, why on earth don't you contact your credit card company and "dispute" the charges? Your credit card company will do a couple of things: they'll return the amount to your account, they'll send you a form to fill out where you'll say you ordered something and still haven't received it (or you were not satisfied with it, or you ordered wrong on the phone and couldn't reach customer service, or whatever), then THEY will take it up with the company.

Only when Mr What's-his-name gets enough complaints thru his billing channels, will he resolve the issue overall....or he'll lose his way for customers to pay.

Also, you may try contacting your local Department of Consumer Affairs and file a complaint. They are generally very thorough.

As for the BBB, you could always file a compalint with them.

I would suggest all the above.

When Mr What's-his-name has to start answering to credit card companies and consumer affairs offices and atty generals, I guarantee they're not going to be such a sucker for his "Oh, it's my life's dream" speech. They're going to hold him accountable. And he will HAVE to take direct action.

They key is this: it has to become MORE of a problem for HIM than it is for YOU. Right now, he's just spouting off sappy "we're working on it, you'll get it tomorrow, I want everybody satisfied" platitudes and going about his merry way with your funds. Talk is cheap. You want him to have to act and the only leverage you have is thru an organization bigger than yourself.

You may say "well, at least I eventually got a refund, or I told bloggers about it," but the truth is, those thousands of people who just saw a TV commercial and ordered one...are NOT reading this blog and he's got their money, too. (Just count that up in your head. $$$$$$$)

My suspicion is that he's in over his head financially and he's using today's credit card charges to pay for the manufacture of yesterday's orders. If it were such a fabulous business, his bankers would front him the money to make a giant order--unless he has no credit. And by the way, it doesn't take a month to manufacture a plastic tool in china, especially if you're just making MORE of them. (And if you were losing orders because of the shipping time, WOULDN'T YOU FIND ANOTHER RESOURCE SO YOU COULD MAKE MORE MONEY BECAUSE YOU COULD SELL MORE??)

I'm not sure what is going on, but it seems like he has an invention for a piece of plastic to go on the end of a Dremel that's a genuinely good idea. --AND it sounds like there's some very fishy underlying business practices going on with the owner. He's all glad-handing talk and no lasting action.

    In short....I smell smoke.

  130. I ordered this item on March 18th, 2008. My account was debited the very next day. As of today April 20th, 2008 I still have not received my order. I have e-mailed them, spoken with their customer service dept. on several occassions to no avail. They ask for your zip code to look up your order, then they try to look it up by your name which you have to spell out for them at least 6 times because the people they hire to answer the phones cannot get it right. They refuse to take your confirmation number for your order. My last communication with customer service was on the 18th and I told them to cancel my order and send me my refund. The answer was, call the customer service number and tell them to cancel your order and when that is verified, I will send you a refund. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. If they can't find my original order to process it how in the world are they going to be able to find it to cancel it. This is the biggest rip-off I have ever seen.

I ordered the Dremel piece in early march and I received it last week.
I thought it didn't work at first because there is a cap piece that you have to remove in order to screw it on.
However after getting used to the Peticure and how the end thing works, I have to say that I like it! It is really cool product. My lab Gracie fussed a little but got used to it pretty quick. Thanks for all the info here guys!

  137. I posted on here some time ago with an angry comment or two.Fortunately this company has finally came through... Yes my peticure did finally come and I havent had any battery problems to date. I have four dogs so I have kept the thing pretty busy. If your like me and have low patience the wait might may be an issue. However, if you dont mind the wait(I waited five weeks)
    this is a good product...

  138. I think that anyone who created something to make our pets life better probably has decent intentions. From what I can see that people are getting theirs, you too will end up getting it if you ordered. I ordered mine yesterday and whether it takes 5 days or 5 weeks , it will eventually come. Come on people, relax...

  139. Thanks, bbird, for the advice about the peticure and cats. You brought up the main concern I had -- a cat's nails are much thinner than a dog's and I think the peticure may make the nail vibrate instead of just filing it down.

I'll be on the lookout for the Miller Forge clippers. I use a scissor type w/black handles. I like them, but they DO seem to "crunch" the nail a bit before cutting.

Thanks for posting and answering my comment!

  140. I am glad I found this site. I read through everyone's comments and frustrations. Thank you for taking the time to do so. I thought I would check out the website and see what they have to offer (corded model, dremel cover). While I was on the site it suddenly stopped working and I have been unable to gain access to it after several tries. I am now wondering if all the complaint to the BBB have now taken effect. I hate to see a good product go down in flames due to bad business or lack of experience in business. Is anyone aware of what might be happening?

  141. I received the peticure elite back in march. I found this site and was very surprised to see all this stuff that I had no idea was going on! I received mine after about four weeks and so far so good. I havent had any problems but I wonder if I did how it would be handled via customer service if I had a problem. I do think the device is a good product. My husband is the delegated peticure guy of the house for our springers. He really likes it. He even does our neighbors dog!
    NUT!
Anyway, I hope there is never a problem with it and I wish everyone luck

  142. So I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt (mostly because my German Shorthair Pointer has claws like a bear & HATES getting his claws cut) and I placed my order on 4/22. After I placed my order, I started thinking that I put my credit card information in wrong, so I called the 866-626-7961 # & got right through. The guy that answered told me it takes 24 - 48 hours for the order to download into their system, and I should call back tomorrow, so I called back on the 23rd. The female operator looked up my account by my last name, but it still had not downloaded. She told me to wait until Friday the 25th before I called back. I just called again today on the 28th & was told that their computers had been down all afternoon & if I call back tomorrow they are sure they can verify the information. I am starting to get a little annoyed that it's been a week & I can't even confirm the order.

  143. I ordered, I paid, I waited and waited..........and waited. Big man Jayden himself refunded my money in one day only after I told him I was going to the attorney general. This tells me that they DO have the ability to fix problems quickly IF THEY WANT TO. He also promised me that my order had already been shipped but to keep the order free of charge for my troubles. Nope, havn't got it yet and don't ever expect to. Mr. Drelinger may have a dream but he is obviously a liar. Last night I looked up this company with the BBB of Dallas. I should have done this before I ordered because he is not very popular with them. It seems that I am not the only upset customer. They have an UNSATISFACTORY rating and a long history of unfilled paid orders and unhappy customers. BBB says they remain unresponsive to quite a large percentage of complaining customers. I am convinced that had I not gotten ahold of Jayden during the middle of the night and ticked him off I would be one of those customers. Good luck to everyone else.

Mr. Jayden Drelinger, you need to start being honest with your customers. Big companies get away with lieing to customers only because their products are sold by so many stores that they can deal with some fallout. You are not there yet and if you continue to do business the way you are, you will eventually fail. NOT your idea, just YOU!

    ReplyDelete
  144. I have published the report from the Dallas BBB in the main blog article above. It's not good, but perhaps not quite as bad as the writer above is making it out to be. Apparently the company has resolved some complaints, failed to resolved others, and failed to respond to a few. There are a total of 19 complaints. Considering that I have been in business doing pet grooming service and retail sales for 30 years and not received ONE complaint, 19 in the short time this company has been in existence is plenty.

  145. ****ATTENTION CAT OWNERS!!****

HAS ANYONE USED THE PETITE ON A CAT!?!?!? I see tons of posts about dogs (well aside from all of the battery/shipping/delay complaints), but how is it for cats? Does the noise hinder the process or scare cats into hiding??

    ReplyDelete
  146. And....keep in mind that only 19 actually went the distance to file on them. How many have "just let it go" and chalked it up to just another bad purchase. I went so far as to look up the BBB but still I didn't report him. How many like me? Also, the BBB gives you the opportunity to make everything right BEFORE the formal precedings begin. I don't think he has any excuse for how he is running his company. A dream can turn into a nightmare. He needs to slow down his sales pitch and focus himself on the business end. Customer service, shipping, records...the business part. Focus on getting your departments on the same page...with the correct information so customers don't get several different wrong answers, only one and hopefully the right answer. To much to ask? I except nothing less.

  147. Ok so I ordered the Peticure Elite on April 7th and got the e-mail confirmation. Well unlike everyone else that has posted, my credit card has not been charged. I then sent an e-mail on April 16th, still no response. But I don't want to order from somewhere else because with my luck I'll get 2 and be stuck paying $60 twice. Would you suggest that I stick it out and wait the 5 or so weeks and see if they charge me? I wish I had found this blog before I ordered.

  148. I really don't know what all the fuss is about...I got mine in four weeks(just like the web site says) and I am happy with it. No complaints here!

  149. Hi John and Karen originally on posted 3-31-08 6:15 am EST

Well, we ordered our Peticure on 3-31 our credit card was charged 10 days ago and we got the Peticure yesterday. While I am not crazy about the length of time it took to get it, the time frame is better then what I have had with other company’s when ordering from the web. So far so good with the battery but we have only used it for one day. As to buddy instead of hiding under the table and slinking around when he saw the nail clippers came out he was fine with the Peticure, as a matter of fact we have used it twice so far a little last night then again today and he was more curious about what was going on then afraid or in pain the hair guard works great and it is not so noisy as to even cause us to have to speak up. The only thing I would say is the smell is not great and perhaps a LED or two for light inside to give a little more light to see what you are doing would be a happy thing.

  150. ok I have ordered this Elite well over 2 months ago. I have been on hold over 20 min now. NO LUCK... The time to ship is totally uncalled for.
Would not buy and would not tell anyone about this. RIP OFF

  151. I just ordered my Peticure Elite today. I will tell you when my item arrives.

Do you know these Peticure Elite are on Ebay usually sold $80-100.

I guess some people can not wait for it over month....

    ReplyDelete
  152. I would be SO WARY of purchasing this item on eBay! We know that the first supply of Peticure Elite model had faulty batteries. This was the original problem that spurred this blog article. What we don't know is how many units of that shipment were not sold by Peticure, and/or what happened to the unsold units.

IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT UNITS WITH SUBSTANDARD OR FAULTY BATTERIES WILL SHOW UP ON EBAY!!

Individuals who purchased those original Peticure Elite units with problematic batteries may also be reselling them on Ebay, especially if they were frustrated with Peticure Customer Service, or if they didn't understand that the batteries were faulty and were simply disappointed in the tool.

The new title of this article, "Peticure Ups and Downs" seems quite fitting, as for every happy customer, there seems to be another frustrated one. Although the use of Ebay may work around the shipping delays and customer service issues experienced by some (not all) purchasers of the Peticure tool, it could possibly trigger another wave of consumers who are unhappy with the tool itself. Only time will tell... the saga continues.

  153. Good thing I'm a procrastinator!!! I was super-excited about this product and wanted to get one, but just kept putting it off. Good thing I did because there is no way on Earth I would put up with the garbage that has been listed here. I'll just keep taking my dogs for long walks each night. The sidewalk does a good job keeping their nails short.

  154. I have a wonderful Irish Terrier, who hates to get his nails clipped because of a painful experience at the groomers.

Can someone out there give me instructions how to use a regular dremel to do this job. Is there a trick to the grit of the sanding sleeve? I would think with care, and a couple of "zoom, zooms" with the dremel it could be accomplished just fine.

Who needs the "Peticrap", oh, I mean the "Peticure", when you can just use a dremel. Right?

    ReplyDelete
  155. Yes, you can use a Dremel without a Peticure guard. I've done it for decades. Medium to coarse grit.
The innovative part of the Peticure is the guard cap that fits over the grinding wheel. This does two important things: it prevents the inhalation of nail dust, and it prevents hair getting caught in the base of the grinding wheel.

Having hair get caught in a rotary grinder without such protection is a scary matter. It can happen in an instant. Only smooth coated dogs like Beagles are exempt. Dogs with hairy feet are the most likely to suffer this accident, but I have had hair in beards, ears, and tails caught as well as foot hair.

Let's say your Irish Terrier (cool breed, btw) swoops in to take a look at what you're doing with the Dremel and his/her foot. All it takes is for a couple of beard hairs to come close to the space on the tool where between the grinding wheel meets the chuck (or whatever you callit). The spinning of the pin that drives the grinding wheel is such that it attracts hair to it. Once a couple of hairs are caught, they will instantly wrap around the pin, snatching the tool from your grip and ATTACHING THE DREMEL TO THE SIDE OF YOUR DOG'S FACE!

Well, I exaggerate slightly. If you are lucky, the Dremel stops before very much of the beard is drawn into the knot. Most tools have an emergency shut off button that you push to immediately stop the rotary pin. Still you almost always have to cut the tool out of the hair. Sometimes the dog reacts in such a way as to jerk away and yanks the hair out. The dog, of course, will blame you. And you will have to explain to your spouse
why the dog is hiding under the bed with a big chunk of hair missing from the beard/tail/ear/foot.

The good news is that these dremel accidents are rare, and do not usually lead to a vet visit.

  156. I ordered my Peticure on April 8th and have yet to receive it. I have emailed them and have gotten no responce. I was really looking forward to receiving it; and still am waiting on the day it FINALLY comes in.

How do they ship it (what carrier) and do they send you any information on tracking??

  158. It has been 4 weeks, and now customer service wont answer me. I have been patient, and right now I just want what I ordered and a good explanation as to why I have not been answered and why it has taken them this long. I think this product is a wonderful idea, but what good is it if I cant even get it shipped to me?

    ReplyDelete
  159. OK, I've never posted a comment before but I'm SOOOOOO glad I found this blog spot before I submitted my online order for the safety attachment part! Great comments and info from both sides of the fence.

As many have posted here, I also do wood working and would prefer to order just the safety guard for my Dremel, which I see listed on the website, but with all the negative comments about the company I'm really apprehensive to order anything from them now. Others have commented they'd like to see the whole product available in stores, but I'd love to see the safety guard alone available at a local pet, or human, store....whether it's a PetCo, PetSmart, Wal-Mart, Target, or Walgreen's.

None of us need any additional headaches in our life, and even if we call the credit card company and let them handle most of the dispute, you still have to do your part waiting on the phone for customer service to place the dispute, then you sometimes have to submit your written statement of what went wrong...all of which is more than anyone should have to do if this were an honest company dealing in good faith! I agree with the other posters comment that you are not as big as the organizations that can really make life difficult for this man so use those organizations if you have had serious issues with any company.

Everyone who uses the guard says it's a good product though, so I guess I'll keep posted here to see how things go in the future. I have a special needs dog that doesn't mind me touching her feet that much, but she hates the clippers and I'd like to make easier on both of us.
Just an FYI for the people that said they would "PREFER TO BUY AMERICAN", Mr, what's-his-name (I liked this name for him in the other posters comments...hehe) said in one of his postings that he has the safety guard attachment for the Dremel made right there in Texas...this would mean that the Dremel safety guard IS AMERICAN MADE!

And here, I'll even take it a step further for ya, buy the Dremel to attach the guard to because it also is made by an American company, and by all accounts, appears to be "Made in America" even though I can't specifically find that written on my tool or in the manual, but this is what it does say in the manual...."Dremel brand products are manufactured and sold by the Dremel Division of Robert Bosch Tool Corporation".... which is located in Racine, Wisconsin 53401, USA!

And another GREAT thing about the Dremel product...you don't have to be unsatisfied and end up with a broken product that doesn't work in 6 moths and have no warrantee or customer service because per the www.Dremel.com website, " Your Dremel product is warranted against defective material or workmanship for a period of two years from date of purchase." Can what's-his-name of the Peticure company say that?

One last thing, I agree about not buying "As seen on TV" stuff on ebay....protect yourself and DON'T DO IT! People are having bad enough situations with THIS company, but on ebay you have little to NO recourse of getting any money back or a product exchanged.

  160. I really want to buy one of these, but I will keep an eye on this blog for a while to see how the posts pan out. Too bad the company isn't selling these tools in bulk to pet boutiques, I bet they'd fly off the shelves since it seems that customer support and order fullfillment time are the main issues now.

    ReplyDelete
  161. No complaints here...I think it is a nice advance in Dremel use...I have used dremels for about five years. I like how it controls the nail on the bit.I think this company just took off fast and is trying to catch up. I got mine in five weeks but I think it is good.
Here is the simple ansewr folks...If you dont want to wait,DONT BUY IT! NOW...If you dont mind the wait, I SAY DEFINETELY BUY IT!

  162. I purchased the Peticure guard for the Dremel tool. Fast shipment to NJ, seems to be of good quality, and good fit to the Dremel. My problem is what is the secret to get the dogs use to the noise, They are just fine when I follow the directions on their website demo sections with regards to introduction of the PetiCure device, but as soon as I touch the toenail no way. I would appreciate any guidance anyone with knowledge could lend.

  163. I ordered a Petite in February. I haven't used it much at all and now it is not holding a charge. I'm going to try to get ahold of them and see if they'll do anything. I'll update here. I'm just glad I'm only out $40 for the Petite model. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T ORDER!!

    ReplyDelete
  164. To help dogs accept the Peticure, you can try treat training, better yet, clicker training with treats. If you've never used clicker training, you need to study up. Plain treat training would involve first attempting to touch the tool to the nail without turning it on and presenting a treat only when the dog allows the tool to touch the nail. Don't get overly dramatic in praising or you will bury the lesson. A simple "good dog" and a small treat. Then another nail, etc. Once the animal allows you to touch one nail to with the tool, try two nails. After the dog learns the game and clearly associates the treat with allowing the tool to touch the nail without a struggle (or worse), then you can turn on the tool and start all over.

Good luck. As I have previously written, there are some dogs that have feet issues and no tool is acceptable.

  167. Even after reviewing the negatives on this blog, I believe the potential benefits this product may offer are worth the cost of trying it. I am also capable of waiting a couple of months to receive the product (as a frequent online shopper and Ebayer, I have dealt with extended shipping times on occasion).

    That said...
I am wondering if anyone has ever tried to use this product on a rabbit...or has any thoughts on the topic. I have 3, all with dark nails, whose quicks have been cut once or twice. I also have a 5-pound pomeranian, so I was planning to purchase the Pedicure petite for use on them all.

  168. Shipping times look like they may have slipped a little from 4/10 when I ordered. on 4/10 it said 4 weeks now it says 6 weeks.

When I ordered, it said 4 weeks and sure enough, they shipped it 5/9 - they don't seem to send any type of shipping notice. I got an email from my credit card about the charge coming through on 5/11 and called CS today, 5/13 (no hello on the recording, just "Please hold for an operator", but pretty quick competent response. She even tracked it and gave me the UPS #.

I am in California and it's a little frustrating that it is sitting at UPS 20 miles away, not scheduled for delivery until 5/15.

So, the upshot is... They stuck to their shipping promise (within 1 day), didn't charge me until it shipped and my only frustration at this point is with UPS which I will take any day over Fedex ground.

I will provide a product review as soon as it arrives.

BUT now the unit is so noisey I cannot use it - any suggestions ??

Anybody know why it is so noisey?

  171. I am waiting for signs of a box to arrive from Peticure since 7 April 08. Hope the product is what I hope to be a well operating machine. I can tell you isf it is noisey it will be returned.

  172. So after 5 long weeks of silence, my Peticure has arrived. We will be trying it out this weekend. Hopefully my dogs have a positive experience with it. I noticed after I posted on April 29th that several people posted that the website said it would be 4-6 weeks for shipping. I must have missed that when I ordered. So currently my only gripe is that they say that you'll get another e-mail when the product is shipped, but I never heard anything.

    ReplyDelete
  173. It arrived and I did a known no-no and used it right away (without charging the battery first) without any problems.

The device works great. I seem to recall reading somewhere to only use the elite on up to #4 (out of 10) so I followed that directive and it worked great. a couple of treats and my dog's neglected nails are now close to ideal and after a few days (for the quick to recede) I will do another session.

A couple of notes. When first connected, the charger buzzes for a while - probably not a problem, but a little weird. Also, when you are using it, if your dog is on her back and the rotary tool wheel points down, it will spew the nail dust from the catcher. better to do it with her sitting or on her side so you don't get dust all over her or you.

I am delighted with this tool. BTW, it is a generic dremel type tool with the peticure attachment, so you could use the tool as a dremel for other purposes and take the peticure top and put it on a real dremel if you need or want to.

I purchased the two year warranty and can't imagine buying something like this without that.

Mine came with 6 bands plus the one installed and I ordered 20 more which just came in a zip lock. I should probably not have spent the $15 on the extra bands and had I known it came with 7 I would have waited.

Also, for almost all the settings it only uses the top half of the band, so the bands can be turned over when half dead.

I am very pleased with this purchase.

    ReplyDelete
  174. To the customer with the noisy tool. If it is noisy with the peticure attachment removed, I hope you bought the warranty and I would request a cross ship replacement right away. you will probably have to secure the cross ship with a credit card, but if you send it back and it takes a month to replace, that is no good, and if it breaks, that is even worse.

I would probably keep the attachment and just exchange the tool so I could put the attachment on a dremel if needed.

I am now extremely worried about ever getting this product. Please give me an update on the status of this order. We planned on using it while on vacation and now we won't have it for that and mother's day either.

  176. I placed my order online for the Peticure Safe Guard on 3/28/08 after reading this very informative blog. At the time shipping was listed within 4-6 weeks so I expected up to 6 weeks. I got an email confirmation of my order that same day with an order # starting with AB. I was informed in that email that my order was received and I would receive an additional email once it had shipped. After reading some more comments on this blog I emailed Peticure customer service on 4/18/08 forwarding my order confirmation email and asking for someone to confirm again my order had been received. I received a reply back from Gianna Pinno on 4/21/08 about them allotting up to 4 business weeks due to high demand but that didn't mean it would take that long for me to get my order. Gianna apologized for the delay. Gianna told me if I could be patient I would "LOVE IT". I replied back the same day and told Gianna I understood the order would take a while but I still wanted confirmation my order was in fact in their system. Gianna replied 4/22/08 with "YES :):):)" and then gave me the toll free # again. On 5/10/08 I replied to that last email I received to say it had now been 6 weeks since I placed my order and asked what was going on. I received a reply with no signature on 5/12/08 with "let me look into this". So today 5/16/08 I still had heard nothing back. I called the toll free # I had received previously from Gianni Pinno. My call was answered immediately and the gentleman I spoke with was very nice. I explained the situation to him. He asked if I placed the order on the phone and if my order number started with "4". I said I placed it online and gave him my "AB" order # but he could not find it. He took my last name and found my information in their system. He told me it looked liked something had happened and my order was not actually placed until YESTERDAY (5/15/08)!!! He apologized and said I should received my order in the next week or two. At least I got to talk to somebody who knew what they were doing. While I understood it would take a while to get my order I am extremely disappointed that my order was lost then entered again without notifying me. Instead of waiting the expected 4-6 weeks it is now 8-10 weeks. Peticure should be including some free sanding bands or something in these orders that are getting SO screwed up. Does Jayden Drelinger even check this blog anymore? Thank you to everyone for all the info you have posted. Special thanks to bbird for keeping this blog going!!! After the mishap with my order and huge lack of communication/customer service all I can say is this Safe Guard better be GOOD!

The customer service # I called and got my call taken immediately is 866-626-7961 open M-F 9-5.

  177. I have to let ya'll know what finally became of my order. I ordered on Feb 2. By April 11, I was tired of dealing with customer service and called whats his name personally. I told him that I was going to have to call the attorney general about his company and he refunded my money within 24 hours. He kept telling me that my order had already shipped, he "promised", but to keep it when it came in for my trouble. I was just glad I had gotten my money back. well.....

On May 9, a UPS truck left me a small box. When I opened it I was absolutely SHOCKED. There was a Peticure Petite, safety guard attatchment and about 20 or so replacement bands! Surprise surprise!!! I had given up on my "free gift" weeks ago and actually never even expected to get it but then here it came.

Here's what I think of it. Even though the site describes the Petite as being for smaller dogs, the business end is EXACTLY the same size as the safety guard sold by itself. Size, holes, everything is the same except the color. The Petite is quieter than my dremel (almost silent) and seems to hold a charge well. It comes with the charge cord and the instructions say it can be used "with or without" the cord. I'm not sure about that cause I havn't used it with the cord attatched. The petite has enough power and the same size guide holes as the Elite. I think maybe the issue isn't the size of the animal, but the length of time per use. The Elite has a removable battery and a spare, I think, and the Petite is one piece so there are no spares. If you would be using it for long periods of time it might get aggravating taking time out to charge up. As far as the bands go, they are just plain sanding bands. I havn't compared any prices but I certainly wouldn't want to wait a month for bands I can get at Walmart.

I really do like this product and I would have gladly paid for it. It's really nice that he gave it to me for free and it certainly went a long way towards mending my emotional wounds. It's just a shame that it went down like it did. It leaves me wondering if maybe he has his family running the business and he just doesn't have the heart to fire them.

My FINAL thoughts.... a very good product, VERY VERY VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

    Chow.

  178. I really think this is a good product. My mother ordered the elite and I have borrowed hers for my frenchie. My dog trusts me to use this but doesnt like the clipper.
I think the problems are because its on TV and everyone is ordering thus making the peticure company extremely busy in keeping up with production. You can tell that the company is genuine about what they do by the demo videos on their site(very helpful to me). It shows they want to teach people as much as they want to get their product out!
I would give them six months to a year and they will probably have it all together. Im sure its like a hell of a 8 sec. bull ride coming out with something that takes off.LOL

  179. I ordered a peticure petite on March 11th over the internet. On March 12th, my debit card was charged, Oh boy oh boy do I wish I had used a credit card but I've been internet shopping for years and never had a problem.

I emailed after four weeks asking how soon I could expect my product, as I merely wanted a status report. I figured if it takes 4-6 weeks for customers to recieve theirs, I could have expected an email saying it had been shipped.

I got an email back from Jayden saying they were shipping them as fast as they could and 4-6 weeks to receive one is the norm. I now know I should have been more specific in telling him that I'd been charged, but I had forwarded him the email confirmation I got showing my customer ID and transaction number so I thought that was an automatic thing that he'd use that to see where my order was at status-wise.

Eight weeks later... no product. I worked in banking (customer service no less) long enough to know I have 90 days from the time it appears on my statement to dispute it. So I called customer service.

I gave them my customer id, the transaction number, the date the order it was made, the date it posted on my account, and was told they had no record of the transaction or the customer number and that I needed to fax copies of all this to their office. Excuse me? All the information I have was sent to me via the internet! The email from peticure, my bank statements are electronic, etc. The fax I send that I have to pay to send since I don't have a fax machine and the supporting documentation is over the page limit of the free services, is composed of things I print off myself on my printer! If the company doesn't trust internet technology, why is it conducting sales over the internet?

I've also worked for companies that conduct sales via the internet. Never, as an employee or customer, have I seen such hassle over getting something taken care of. In all cases if something went wrong, it took a phone call and/or email and the product is either shipped/replaced/ or refunded and if the product was shipped/replaced, the shipping was refunded and usually overnighted at no charge to the customer.

I strongly suspect that Jayden Drelinger came up with a great product. He had the brains to hire someone to develop marketing for him, but the rest of it, such as finding experts to help manage quality control and customer service was not something that happened. As such, I am willing to cut Peticure some slack. However I really do think that this company needs to hire in some help to get things fixed pronto. One person is not going to be able to fix all of this without continuing to have his company's reputation trashed.

If the problems I had and that I've read about on this blog continue, it doesn't matter how great the product is, they're going to either have to sell to another company an change the name, or they're going to go out of business. Stuff like this can kill a business. Frankly, I like the concept of their product a great deal, so I would hate to see this happen. I have lots of problems with my hands and cutting my dogs' nails has always been a nightmare. I had one dog so terrified by the grinder and by clippers that I actually had to file her nails by hand. She was a big dog, so we had entire pedicure evenings for the dog! I don't let my husband cut their nails anymore because he gets so frustrated he just holds 'em, and clips as quick as he can, which means he usually hits the quick on each dog at least one time per session. He hates it and the dogs hate it, so I end up trimming one or two nails every other day for each dog, meaning that there's never a time when there aren't nails needing to be trimmed.

If this product works, and it sounds like it does if the battery problems are resolved, this could be a godsend for me and my dogs.

Right now though, I'm pretty ticked off that they've had my money for nine weeks, I asked for my order to be checked on (it wasn't) and then I have to do a bunch of legwork to fix their mistake. That's not a good way to make sure you have repeat business and an excellent way to make sure you don't get new customers.

  180. Uh-oh!... My husband just ordered this item yesterday, after we waited (procrasinated until our Gov't rebate incentive check! lol). I sure hope we don't regret spending the money... as 3 little puppies will be diapointed! We will keep you all posted! Thanks for this site!

  181. I recently left a comment on May 16, 2008 11:34 AM. I wanted to update everyone. I emailed customer service after speaking with someone at the 866-626-7961 number. In my email I explained what I had been told on the phone and wanted to know if Mr. Drelinger was doing anything to make up for all the bad customer service. I received a reply on 5/19 with "let me see what I can do". On 5/17 I found an email online for Mr. Drelinger (peticurefix@yahoo.com) and emailed him with my experience with his company. I have not gotten a reply from him yet or heard back from customer service. Yesterday 5/19 I received my Peticure Safe Guard in the mail FINALLY after 7 weeks! It had shipped out on 5/15 but I was never told it had shipped. There was a pack of sanding bands in with the guard that I did not order and this was shipped before I suggested they start including something like this to make up for all the problems.

So I finally have my guard and I am hoping to try it on my Dremel this weekend. I really hope it works well for my dogs! There are no directions that come with to tell you how to attach the guard to a Dremel tool. I have one of the models that the guard is supposed to fit but at first I got very worried when I saw the guard. It has a larger opening to screw onto the Dremel tool. I had been told by customer service prior to ordering that as long as I my tool had threads to screw something on the guard would fit. I assumed this was the metal threaded part which is small. I only use the Dremel for dog nails so I did not realize further down where the plastic casing on the Dremel starts there is a pieces that screws off and the guard went on perfectly.

  182. OK, Watch out, Now you got my wife and the Beagle's mother involved:

I was given the email address jpeticure@yahoo.com after our 5th telephone call to the customer service department inquiring about our order for the Peticure Safe Guard.
My husband placed an order for this product on April 11, 2008. The order number is AB-17543. As of today, we have not received this product.
We have made numerous attempts to get a status on the delivery and each time we are told something different. We were first told that delivery will be within 4-6 weeks. Then it was 8-10 weeks. The latest call that I made was on May 19th and I was told by Kay in Customer Service that the item is on back order and that the product was in a "warehouse" waiting for approval to be released. She could not supply me with a date of when the products would be sent out for shipping. She could not even tell me whether any of these items in the "warehouse" would be shipped to me. She gave me your email address as a contact for additional information.
I have placed many orders for various products before and I have never had the problems receiving what I ordered like I am with your company and this product. Nor have I experienced the run around like we are now receiving when inquiring about order status.
We are at a point now that we feel a call to the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau concerning your company and your failure to ship our order is necessary.
We will give you until the end of this week to contact us with information that is acceptable that our shipment and all pertinent information concerning the shipment is received, then we will be left with no other alternative then to contact the necessary authorities.
    Again, the order number is
    AB-17543.

P.S. The Beagle will write the next letter.

  183. I just got off the phone with Jianna, who works with Jayden. I am *SO* impressed with her and with the company. I briefly explained what had happened and she said she'd personally mail out my order tomorrow.

She and I talked for some time about steps the company is taking to fix the issues the company has had and to make sure they don't happen again. As I suspected, they got an overwhelming response as soon as they started their company.

It's hard for any new business for their first few years to get things going properly, but when you come up with something as wonderful as they have, believe it or not, it's even harder to make sure things run smoothly.

I am VERY confident in these people. They are providing a wonderful service to the animal community and they have some marvelous goals. The only thing they appear to lack is enough hours in the day to accomplish all that they have to do.

So, if you have already made an order, should have gotten it and haven't, please email them or call customer service and rest assured they'll get back back to you. Jainna is taking care of the emails and gets anywhere from 500-800 a day so if it takes her several days to get back to you, please be patient. A personal suggestion is that if you email them, put their email address in your contacts list so their reply does not go to your spam folder as this has caused some problems for customers that email her as they've thought they've not gotten a response, and it's simply because some email programs don't recognize and address you write to should not be considered spam when you get a response back.

Because they are a new company they have had to hire outside parties to take care of certain things for them such as their web site and customer service. Please recognize that when you talk to customer service, you are talking to an outside company.

Customer service passes all the information on to Jayden and Jainna and they take care of it from there. Peticure is looking at hiring people so there can be a lot more hands-on work being done but because they are so new (they just started in November of 2007, so as of this writing that's 7 months!) they have had lots of things to deal with first.

If you want to know why I am writing all this, it's because I am so impressed with the results of my phone call. I was treated with great courtesy and made to feel that I was very important to them. If this company is guilty of anything, it's of being overwhelmed by their success. This is not something new business owners normally have to deal with until they've had a few years of trial and error, so this company is having to play catch-up in a situation that no one ever expects.

    Their email address is customers@peticure-grooming.com
    Their customer service number is
866-626-7961 though you might need to check their "contact us" page to make sure that information has not changed.

It really does sound like they've worked out product issues and now are just getting order fulfillment worked out. If you do have a problem with your product, rest assured they'll help take care of that, too.

  184. I ordered the Peticure Elite back in March after all the hoopla about it. I have 4 dogs and none of them like to get their nails clipped. The oldest one is the biggest baby and cries when he even sees the nail clipper! I gave up clipping their nails and now only take them to the vet because I'm afraid of hurting them and cutting the quick! So when I saw the infomercial on TV I ordered it! It is now May 22 and I'm still waiting to receive my Peticure! I have emailed several times to no avail! I don't care what kind of company a person owns or how new they are, if they don't have the product to sell they should not be advertising! And, now that I know the batteries were made in china, I'm going to cancel my order anyway! Maybe once they get their act together and can deal with supply and demand I will try again; but with a corded if they make one by then! I'm not getting my hopes up! In the meantime, the people at my vet's office love my dogs! So I take them in every couple of months for baths, then the nail clipping is free and costs no more then if I just took them in for a nail clipping!

  185. We are terribly sorry about the delay...Our latest shipment is being held up by customs in LA. Our manufacturer did not put the country of origin on our boxes and therefore they are not releasing them to us. Jayden (Inventor/President) is there right now working diligently on getting this remedied to have it here by this week. We do sincerely apologize for this as it was totally unexpected. Our actual delivery time is stated on our website (in each item's description) as taking allotting us 4-6 business weeks and we will NOT charge you credit card til the product ships out to you. I hope you can hold out a little while longer as every pet & pet parent needs this amazing product.
    Thank You, Gianna Pinno

    Thank you for reply Gianna

    Giving them 6 weeks...

    ReplyDelete
  186. When will the corded model be available?

    ReplyDelete
  187. I've been waiting 6 weeks for mine. I was told it would take no longer then 4 weeks via email. Finally I called and was told it was still on back order and did not know when it would ship. I told to cancel the order and that they should NOT advertise a product they can not meet the demand for

    ReplyDelete
  188. I got mine in the mail two days after talking with Gianna. I've been introducing it to the dogs slowly as described in the instructions. The product does live up to its advertising and for me the hassle to get it was worth it. Do I wish I could have avoided the hassle? Oh heck yes!

If you have ordered one and not had any contact with the company, and your six weeks have passed, then I'd suggest you call or email. Give them a week or so to call or email you back as they are so understaffed and they have had to hire outside contractors to help them out with the phone calls and such. Recognize if they tried to train new staff members themselves, they wouldn't have time to get the product out or clean up any past errors that were made.

I have to admit the reason I am able to be sympathetic to their problems is that I have worked for startup companies and while their problems are being magnified to a huge degree since they were popular from the moment they were created, this stuff is typical for startup companies. The issues they've had usually occur over the first two years of a company's creation. I can understand that if someone has not had a similar work experience, this can appear unacceptable. To those people, I'd suggest waiting a few more months before ordering but do keep them in mind for the future.

I hope in the coming years I never have to replace my Peticure, but if I do, I won't hesitate to order another one. It really is worth it as it's easy for me to use whereas clippers and grinders normally haven't been, and my dogs aren't frightened by it.

So that's my take on it all, multiple posts and all, and I hope this helps some of you out.

  189. I am very unhappy. I'm going on almost 2 months and I have nothing I ordered. I finally emailed them a couple of weeks ago and got the same LAX/Customs email.

If they cannot handle this business, they should not be doing it!! Where's the customer service, it's non-existent! I emailed again and got an auto reply. If they can figure out an auto reply email, they should be able to send automatic updates on all orders. Shame on them!! I am so frustrated!! This is no way to do business. I don't care if they are understaffed, hire more people! They can't try to keep all of the profit for themselves if they cannot handle the volume. If this keeps up, they won't have a business to worry about!

  190. I recently ordered the Peticure Safe Guard adapter for a Dremel tool. The product appears to be well made (USA)and installs easily. Given the versatility and quality of Dremel tools, my advice is to avoid any Chinese made Peticure device and simply purchase the adapter.

    ReplyDelete
  191. For Capt John, What Dremel tool do you currently have? The adapter doesn't fit all Dremel's. Can you please provide? Thank you.

  192. I ordered the Elite model in late April. My card was not charged until the order was filled 4 weeks later. Once I saw the charge go through, I had the product in less than a week- and was even with shipping to Hawaii, which always takes additional time. I find the product to be solid, and very very good at filing the nails on my two large dogs. They have adjusted to it easily, and I love it.

NO COMPLAINTS from me. I LOVE my Peticure, and would buy it again in a NY minute!

    ReplyDelete
  193. I have 2 Miniature Schnauzers. I get nervous everytime I clip their nails. Normally, myself or my husband are the only ones that groom our dogs, but recently, I have tried a groomer. My youngest, Sasha 6 yrs old, gives the groomer the hardest time doing her nails and I am charged extra money for the additional time.

I saw the TV advertisement for Peticure and thought that it would be great to have. I went to the website and then thought I should search the internet for reviews of the product.

I am so thankful for the site. It has definitely educated me. I still have some questions:

    ~Should I buy ...
    - a Dremel 10.8 V with a lithium ion battery ... or ...
    - a Dremel 10.6 V with a lithium ion battery ... or ...
    - should I purchase one of the Peticure products and if so which one?

I only have 2 dogs ranging in weight from 14-16 pounds each.

~If I purchase a Dremel tool there are several models to choose from. They are not listed on the internet or the Dremel's website as Dremel 10.8 V or 10.6 V. WHICH MODEL WILL WORK WITH THE PETICURE SAFE GUARD?

After reading your bloggs, I trust the information that will be provided to me.

    Thank you

  194. First, the nitty gritty:

I placed my order April 7, 2008. I emailed the Company on 4/12, because I had not received a additional confirmation:

Me (4/12/08): I placed [an order 4/7/08] and have not yet received a notice that the item has shipped. Is there a problem with the order?

Peticure (4/14/08): We are allotting up to 4 business weeks for delivery (as stated on our website) due to high demand of the peticure. This by no means that it will take up to that long for you to receive your peticure. I would like to think it shouldn't be much longer as we are getting them out as fast as we can. Sorry for the delay & inconvenience. If you can be patient with us I promise you and your "kid(s)" will LOVE IT!
    Thank You

    Me (5/5/08)

I am inquiring once again as to the status of an order I placed on 4/7/08 [included order number]. I have included a copy of the invoice below for your reference. I have yet to receive the items ordered or any additional correspondence indicating that the order has shipped or that there is an additional delay. As you stated in your previous email, the four week delivery time will soon pass. I once again ask that if there is a problem with the order, payment, or shipping that you please contact me. If not, when can I expect the order to be filled?

    MY COMPLAINTS:

Although I asked a direct question and requested a timely answer, I did not receive a response to my May 5 email. My credit card was ultimately charged on 5/21/08. [NOTE: the four week delivery date had passed as of 5/7/08.] I FINALLY received the item THREE WEEKS LATER than the company had indicated in their previous email. There was no apology for the delay, and no additional correspondence.

This is the WORST company I have EVER dealt with via the internet. EXTREMELY POOR customer service is their ULTIMATE DOWNFALL.

    Product Review:

The Peticure is a great IDEA, however, the implementation of the design is truly dissatisfying. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. You are better off purchasing a dremmel from a home improvement store until this product undergoes an overhaul. Shame on Peticure for marketing a product that could have benefited from a couple months of quality control. I'M STILL DISAPPOINTED!

One again true to the previous comments: the BATTERY SUCKS. Although the previous comments would suggest that the problem with the batteries has been identified, addressed, and rectified, the later of those two CERTAINLY HAS NOT OCCURRED. After being fully charged, my "Elite" battery failed within the first 10 minutes of use. Although I would never expect any battery to last longer than 30 minutes, this one especially SUCKS. 10 Minutes is pathetic. I HATE HAVING TO RECHARGE my battery after incomplete each use.

    SUGGESTIONS:

DRAMATICALLY improve customer service. Expediency, clarity, and satisfaction are crucial components of sales, and Peticure has FAILED at all three.

Peticure MUST FIX THE F'ING BATTERIES. I HATE seeing posts indicating that Peticure is aware of the issue, and is still shipping batteries that don't work correctly! FIX THE BATTERY!

Why not just utilize a more powerful battery?? Since I have purchased a "DUD," why won't you refund the purchase or exchange it for a corded model.

    Jayden,

Nice idea, but your end product SUCKS. FIX IT!

    -A pet lover

  196. I have been reading all the horror stories about this product. I want to order one and was going to order the top of the line one for my Dobergirl, Sadie. However after reading Kimberly's post on May 16, 2008 I think I will order the Petite - she hates her nails being done but I can get away with 1-2 paws before she freaks out. Might take a day or two to do her nails but I can live with that.

So like a good lemming, I too shall make the plunge. Wish me luck!

  197. I ordered the Peticure on April 17th 2008. I am still waiting for the product. I have seen that the owner / manager reads this blog, so maybe I'll get my order shipped. I sent an email on May 17th 2008 and have still not received a reply. My order number is AB-22005. I'd hate to think I'm going to have to pay to go to a groomer for both my dogs and spend money after having ordered this 6 weeks ago.
