Flexible Head/Double Sided Soft Slicker - In our salon, we call this brush "The Softee", as it is the softest slicker we've ever used. The key is the ultra flexible head. It really bends as you brush, helping to reduce the feeling of pressure for the pet. It is truly the most gentle slicker brush we have ever used.
The brush features two sides, one is ultra soft, the other is more firm (but still gentle). Long pins go through thick and long coats. The brush comes in two sizes, a small (pictured) with a 2" pad and large 3" pad.
Mars Flexy King Slicker - A favorite tool of mine for years, the original design has been improved and made more hair & skin friendly with coated tips. This is another flexible head design with long pins. Much more firm than the "Softee" above, this brush is excellent for working out mats and tangles without inflicting pain to the pet.
Detangling Tip: Use a tiny dab of Eqyss Survivor Detangler gel on a tangle to help slide apart the hair.
Chris Christensen Wood Pin Brush - For longer, dropped coats, such as Havanese, Bearded Collie, Maltese, etc., this brush with fat wood pins will cause the least coat damage. Amazingly good detangling and very gentle on the pet.
Chris Christensen Xtra Coarse to Fine Buttercomb. Combing is essential for coat preparation in the salon, or coat maintenance at home. Without combing, you are only half-way there. The most common mistake I observe with pet owners as well as professional groomers is attempting to comb sensitive dogs with a fine tooth comb. A more widely spaced comb will pull less and allow for a less stressful combing experience. This comb has a very widely space area as well as a finer end, which allows you to follow up with a finer combing if necessary. The extra coarse end is also great for fluffing up coat while scissoring.
Wood Handle Poodle Comb - Don't let the name fool you, this comb is great for many coats, especially those that are thick. An excellent choice for Doodle breeds, this comb is least likely to cause coat damage and further matting. I highly recommend this tool for touchy Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers and Bearded Collies kept in full coat.
Chris Christensen Ice on Ice - The ultimate "liquid tool". This silicone detangling formula helps your brushes and combs glide through all coats with the least resistance. Lightly mist as you brush and comb the dry coat. For a matted or tangled coat, spray into the damp coat while drying and allow product to thoroughly dry before brushing. Also helps old, shedded coat release for double coated breeds with thick undercoats. This product helps make all brushing and combing easier on the pet.
Grooming Tip: When using silicone detanglers, a little goes a long way, less is best.
NEW NEW NEW! Fine Mist Continuous Spray Bottle - The absolutely best way to apply your Ice on Ice or favorite grooming spray. The ultra fine mist offers the advantages of an aerosol without the health and environmental hazards.

Maintaining an inventory sometimes challenges my cash flow. I am not Amazon. I do my best, and each purchase goes toward supporting the GroomBlog. Thanks for shopping with me!
