HOW TO SUPPORT THE GROOMBLOG

Nearly every week I get an email or a phone call from some one who has found me by this blog and wishes to tell me how much it means to them. I am thrilled to hear that I have found a way to be helpful to people who are grooming. It is great to know that we've stumbled into something meaningful. And I intend to keep the articles coming.

Often groomers or friends ask, "How do you find the time to do all that you do?" Mainly by not having a LIFE... I spend most of every day off on the computer writing, either answering emails, writing an article, or posting to the GroomBlog. The truth is I would love to develop the means to have the writing part of my life better support me, so that maybe I would not have to add all the writing time on top of the time I spend grooming. It is sort of like having two jobs, only one doesn't pay.

You have probaly noticed that I have recently tried to tie in the sales of shears to some of my writings. The good news is that I have sold shears to a few groomers as a result of this. It is enjoyable to talk or write to a groomer and help them select their next shears, and each sale is like making a new friend. (Hi Jerri, Hi Julia!) My sales of shears last week helped to make up for the fact that my grooming biz hit a big sagging slump last week. Just in time, ya'll! Keep up the shopping at BBird.biz, please.

This week I am going to institute another little fund raising effort to support the GroomBlog. Paypal has a button you can paste that will allow me to accept donations. It will be like accepting tips. If there is an article that you find especially helpful, or if you just want to help keep me writing the blog, you can send a little Paypal gift.

Someday the GroomBlog might become a paid subscription. For now I am considering voluntary donations as the mode of the moment. Thanks in advance. As with all tipping, the action and amount is up to you. We appreciate any and all and expect none. Well, I hope there's more than none!

Hairily yours,
Barbara
